  1. Never tried them because I guess they wouldn't really be appealing to me without the syrup and there is no way I'm adding that.
  2. I must be a freak as I'm a big fan of Quest chips. Great product.
  3. Learning to eat low carb is a great thing to do now during the pre-op days. It's exactly how you'll be asked to proceed once post-op. Getting acclimated now will help. I suggest buying the Atkins Diet and/or South Beach Diet books and getting started with them.
  4. Perhaps. I've found the instructions given by my surgeon to be extremely simple at all stages. Short list of food types. Maybe it's just that the diet is way more simple later on vs the initial month. Even then he kept it very restrictive. Not much to remember on my part. All programs have differences. Sorry for coming off this way. I guess I see so many posts that are counter to the straightforward eating plan that I just shake my head: pizza in the first month, buffets at two months, one guy ate a 20oz steak fairly early on and was mad that his sleeve allowed it, etc, etc. Sushi at 3 weeks hit me the same way. My apologies.
  5. Glad you liked them. Wings.....to me....are better than ribs. Certainly easier and quicker to prep and cook. So much variety can be imparted by different rubs and sauces. These teriyaki wings were fairly decent.... These were never sauced.....just the good rub combination...
  6. Bariatric Advantage Chewables are what I use. Taste great...none of that bitter aftertaste. Also use their chewables for Iron, B12 and calcium citrate.
  7. Wow.....that is a diet that you could live with long term.
  8. I dust them with an initial layer of Mad Hunky and then some Plowboy's Yardbird rub on top. Best wing rubs I've used. I'll try any sauce. Lately, though.....my favorite is Rufus Teague sauces. I don't worry about the carbs in the sauce as I'm only eating 3-4 drummettes and don't go really heavy on the sauce. My favorite are the drummettes...
  9. Good for you. Hope it continues to go well.
  10. Were you not given a plan to follow ? I doubt rice is on that plan. 3 weeks out from weight loss surgery and eating California rolls isn't a good sign that you are committed to making the changes that are needed. Not trying to be a jerk....but when we play stupid games we win stupid prizes.
  11. I cook and grill so much stuff now that I don't eat.
  12. I freaking love grilled chicken wings !!!
  13. It's not real hunger. Ignore it.
  14. Outstanding job, man. Keep on kicking ass !!!
  15. Good stuff, there. It's awesome that you've found your stride with something that you enjoy. If I wasn't currently nursing a few injuries I suspect I'd be searching out a tribe to join. As it is I go it with my own routine and adjust for the POD (pain of the day), lol.
  16. You are doing super and looking great. Awesome results.
  17. My dirty little secret........struggle coming to terms with job stress. It leads over into every aspect of my life. I have caught myself stress eating at work......junk food Snacks. I have caught myself drinking too much on days off. I finally....acknowledged how both are empty ways of dealing with the stress. Instead......I'll sneak into the gym at work and burst off a quick few sets and feel better for it. Days off I'll be active doing something outdoors.....lately paddling around the river or walking outdoors. Stress is mitigated in healthy ways.
  18. Why would you get sick ? Never happened with me. Flintstone's chewables was one the ones recommend in my program. Iron chewables & B12 chewables as well. The only other one I take is calcium citrate chewables (must be taken hours away from the iron or absorption is hindered). Bariatric Advantage is the brand I use. Flavor is off the chain good on the calcium citrate Chewy Bites (think Starburst Fruit Chews candy) and the multi's taste great. You simply have to time things and work out a schedule on when to take so you'll get the correct absorption. Your nutritionist and/or surgeon should provide you with both the brands/types/quantities and schedule for taking.
  19. 9+ months post-op now and I'm not sure what you are talking about. I never had any nausea.......at all. Zero. Zilch. Nada. The only vomiting that I've experienced post op was when I had a sinus infection and had severe drainage from the meds and it made me hurl a couple times. Outside of this there may have been one other isolated case and it had zero to do with having sleeve surgery. Don't buy into all the negative hype you read hear. I've had zero issues of any type since my surgery. ZERO complications or regrets.
  20. Looks legit. My best results are certainly when I keep it between 50-100 grams. Still have good energy for the gym and loss still occurs. Right outa the Paleo diet playbook. Slight derail follows....sorry...... I know of few guys and a gal who are reaping the benefits of this. Only two of them are into it as fanatics.....embracing the marriage of Paleo + Crossfit. The others don't take it to the near cult-like level but really are doing well after eating more wholesome foods that aren't processed and full of extra additives/preservatives/etc. Fresh outa the ground, off the vine, from the sea and on hoof. I can say with absolute sincerity that since being post-op I've been eating this way for the most part and I feel much better overall. Cutting out the diet sodas, chips, candy, pop tarts, Cereal, frozen Desserts and etc has been great. If I get the strong desire for something sweet......then some chilled seedless grapes or blueberries are the ticket and so much better tasting now than any of that other garbage was before. I still use artificial sweeteners in coffee and the list of chemicals in my Protein powder and pre-workout drinks are not good. Areas to work on. Anyway, cool chart. Thanks for posting.
  21. Excellent place that a few gym buddies use with confidence: https://www.tfsupplements.com GNC has priced themselves outa my range on a lot of stuff.
  22. You have done so well and you look absolutely stunning. I am so impressed with your hard work and determination throughout it all. You've motivated me to get my sore, tired self to hit the gym on days when I so could've blown it off. Amazing. You've been a beacon of light for many who are feeling lost out there. Seeing your results and the knowing that you put one foot in front of the other and drove those results is highly encouraging. Much respect !!!!!!!!
  23. I don't remember specifically.....but I think it was around the 3-4 month time frame. No issues. I often make a side salad for my lunches at work. I've never been an iceberg fan. I put a single layer of spinach leaves on the bottom and then pile on the eggs, chicken, pickles, jalapeños and some cheese. Dressings are where I have to be careful.....choices here make all the calorie/carb difference. They usually have a light raspberry vinegarette that's got decent macros and good flavor. By the time I work my way through the salad and get to the spinach.....I'm full and never finish.
