Lettuce - Post Op?

How soon post op did you try eating lettuce? And how did that go for you?

I'm 2.5 months post op and have been all food for a while now. Thanks.

About a month out, though I usually used chopped spinach for salads rather than lettuce due to its somewhat better nutritional profile, but both settled well with me. However, some people do have a bad reaction to lettuce for a long time, so best to try it first at home rather than at a restaurant!

I don't remember specifically.....but I think it was around the 3-4 month time frame.

No issues.

I often make a side salad for my lunches at work. I've never been an iceberg fan. I put a single layer of spinach leaves on the bottom and then pile on the eggs, chicken, pickles, jalapeños and some cheese. Dressings are where I have to be careful.....choices here make all the calorie/carb difference. They usually have a light raspberry vinegarette that's got decent macros and good flavor.

By the time I work my way through the salad and get to the spinach.....I'm full and never finish.
