  1. Dying? On day one? Well, aren't you gonna have a good week or two... It's all worth it... So stick with it!!!!
  2. So many good times ahead for you mate... Well done... Stay positive!!
  3. Congratulations @@BigShow12 Your request for advice is somewhat non-specific so I'll just mention a couple of things I found important... - Protein!! - Water!! - Whatever else YOUR doc/nutritionst tells YOU!!! - Don't compare yourself to others; Everyone 'loses' differently... - Ask questions!! Good luck to you mate... Don't ever be shy about coming in here and seeking opinions or having a rant...
  4. Congratulations @@krista132 Great effort!!
  5. I thought the whole idea behind this procedure was so that we couldn't "eat just a little more" of our favourite foods... Mainly because our "favourite foods" are rarely broccoli and tofu... The frustration passes @@lizag234 It's just a phase...
  6. @@Elode I'll try... In a while... I'll work up to it... Stand by...
  7. @@Elode Crying? I see no tears... And I resent the tone in which you're typing... I'll frown if I want to... You don't own me... And no, the memo was not forthcoming... I'm beginning to think it's personal...
  8. Hahaha... Believe me @@mrs kaje I'd give anything to feel hungry again... Just every now and then... Obviously not to the extent that I was... But it'd really help if I could WANT to eat..
  9. Yep, that's how it goes... Well, it did for me... But that's all changed now... I don't get hungry... Not ever... And food pretty much bores me... I've no desire to eat at all... Of course, every now and then I see an ad for a Brazilian BBQ restaurant or something and my mouth waters... But for the most part, nothing interests me... Except protein of course... Mmmmmmmmmmmm... Protein powder...
  10. I'd have sat at a table... By myself if I had to... But then I'm much less nice than the average person...
  11. Congratulations and good luck to you and to all who are starting out on their new missions...
  12. If, at 3 months post op, this is your biggest struggle then I'd say you're well on the way to a much healthier life... Congratulations to you...
  13. It's a delay, not a cancellation... Your time is still coming... And on the big scale of things, a few days is nothing... Yep, it's a pain in the arse... But you can do it.. Really, you can...
  14. Well done!!! Keep it up!!!
  15. Sounds like the famous "3 week stall"... Yes, I can see that you're not exactly 3 weeks out but you're pretty close... There are plenty of posts and articles around with information on this... I think there's one titled "Embrace the Stall" or something similar... Maybe that has some information you can use... Physical therapy may re-start things for you too...
  16. Is that paisley?? I like paisley...
  17. Get a foam roller from your nearest department store... After you've exercised, put the roller on the floor and roll your thighs and calves with it... It'll hurt like hell but it gets all the knots out, helps with circulation and should ease at least some of the pain... If you want more info, go into a sports store/gym and ask someone in there... Good luck with it!!!
  18. Yep... This was my first ever surgery... I'd never been unconscious before... I was pooing my pants... I said goodbye to everyone the day before, just in case I died on the table... What a dickhead I looked the next day... Oh well, it happens... There's nothing at all wrong with being nervous... But don't back out... You've come too far now... And believe me.. The results are worth it... Good luck to you...
  19. @@charjsweet I concur... It's time to look after YOU... If she's not on board with that then so be it... Yes, the end of a realtionship of any kind can be a sad occasion... But pain passes... People come and go thru your life.. Your health is a life-long thing... Stick to YOUR guns... You're doing this for yourself... Good luck to you... Keep up posted...
  20. Short answer is this - Only you can help you.. You know what you're doing... You know the consequences of your actions... If you want to stop, stop... Get rid of all the s**t from your pantry/cupboards etc... If it aint there, you can't eat it... You CHOOSE to eat... So CHOOSE not to.. Good luck to you... I hope you get your s**t together and make your way thru this...
  21. If it's any help to you, it's 8am Friday here...
  22. I hope you're still able to steal her clothes tho.. You know, on those days where you just want to frock up... Or am I giving too much of myself away here... But seriously, what a great effort... Congrats to you mate...
  23. Now I've had a look... Well done to you...
