Any Pittsburgh Pa Sleeve people out there?!?
Everything went great. A few minor issues with the hospital but I'm also picky because I'm in the medical field. I feel great and incisions look good. Getting in the fluids is difficult but doable. I've had a hard time with my emotions being all crazy but doing well overall. I can't wait til next week to be on full liquids though so I can feel like I'm actually consuming something. Why am I hungry?!?!
I'm 1 week post op and I'm hungry but I think it's because I don't sip constantly. I drink so many ounces an hour but then take a half hour break then drink a bit more. I just want to get to full liquids so I can have Soup and Protein shakes so I feel like I'm actually consuming something. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Tapatalk

What's your full sign? What's mine?
So I had surgery 11/19 and I can sip and sip my clear liquids all day and I don't feel full. Am I possibly not taking in enough at 1 time to feel full? I space out my drinking and sip all day long but my sips are small and I have trouble getting to the 64oz. I can drink more and take bigger sips but I don't ever really feel anything. Am I supposed to? I occasionally burp but I also still have some gas left from surgery. Help!!

Sleeve Scheduled 11/19/2015
No pre op diet for me. Just clears for the day before. And eat lightly this week. I have been doing a 6 month diet but nothing for specific to pre op. I also have the problem with no advil. I get headaches a lot and only excedrin works but can't take that either. Limited to tylenol. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Tapatalk

Clear Protein drinks
I get the isopure no carb clear drinks at GNC and or Vitamin Shoppe. Also have them online on various vitamin places and amazon but then you have to worry about how they will ship considering they are fragile! Also I Water down the drinks a bit because some taste too sweet to me. I haven't been sleeved yet and they are already sweet so water works great. Probably could use some diet juice too as long as sugar content is ok. If you do that you can mix and match flavors too. I prefer the fruit flavors to the tea ones but the lemonade one is good too. It's refreshing. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Tapatalk

Anyone having surgery in November?
My date is november 19th too!!! I understand how you feel. I am not nervous about the surgery really because I'm in the medical field and find it fasinating. But I am worried about recovery time at home. I'm not a good patient. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Tapatalk

Time off work
I'm am x ray tech at a trauma center and I haven't been sleeved yet but my surgeon told me 6 weeks because of the lifting I have to do. And as far as how to take time you can take time under FMLA if you are a full time employee. Also depending on how long you're off there is short time disability. Be careful going back too early. You don't want to get hurt or end up sick. Also if you get busy drinking and staying hydrated is super important. It may also be difficult to have the energy required to work shifts if you're in the early stages as well. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Tapatalk

November Sleevers
I don't really have to diet. Just log food for the past 4 months and try to incorporate better behaviors. Only diet I have to do is liquid 2 days before surgery. I have made many changes and am doing well. I am still doing a couple last meals or food funerals if you will.. my hardest thing has been excercise. They tell me just walk, walk, walk. But I walk a ton at work.. like miles... so I have a hard time doing other excercise. I like zumba and jazzercise but my schedule makes it hard to do a class so I try to stream them but then I don't like doing them alone...

Gastric sleeve and birth control
I decided against depo and will just stay with what I have. Thanks for all the input everyone!

Gastric sleeve and birth control
So in my surgery bible the surgeon gave me it says I have to stop taking birth control 30 days before surgery. I called them to confirm I needed to do this because I am on nuvaring and wasn't sure if they just meant the pill or not. They told me I had to stop taking it a month before and could not take it again for a month after surgery. She told me an alternative would be to do the depo shot. I want to do it however it is expensive. Just wondering if anyone else was told the same thing and how they are handling. Also anyone on depo? Just curious how it is and what it costs? Someone help me!!

Bucket list of things to do after weight loss...
I want to be able to: Not worry about if a seat will hold me. Go into any store to shop. Ride amusement park rides. Not get winded after 1 flight of stairs. Run a 5k. Go for a run and actually run. Be able to bend over and tie my shoes or paint my toes without discomfort. Be happy and confident in a wedding dress. Not have to sit isle seat at games and events. Not be ashamed when someone sits next to me on the bus.

I want to eat everything
I made a list of restaurants and foods I want to eat before surgery that I know I can't indulge in afterwards. Then I use each one like a reward. If I make good choices for the week or lose a few pounds I get one thing off of my list. Then right before surgery I am having friends and family over for a "last meal" of some of my favorites about 3 weeks before surgery.

Official November Bypass thread
I am excited to see this page. I have been going through 5 months of diet and pre op things to get ready for my November 19th date for sleeve Surgery. I'm almost done with all of my requirements. Only meeting with the NUT again and my psych eval then wait on insurance approval.

Stress incontinence
I'm 25 with no kids and an x ray tech at a trauma center so sometimes I just can't go when I need to and it is harder and harder to hold it. I also have this issue. I'm sometimes afraid to sneeze or laugh. At work I sometimes wear pads just in case I can't make it. I especially notice sometimes when I go from sitting to standing I get sudden urges. My surgeon said all of this would go away and I hope she is right!!
