  2. I know that every individual's recovery is different and certain situations wether it be complications or healing times differ, but on average, how many days or weeks would someone have to be out of work? I am a nurse and I'm on my feet for almost my whole 8 hour shift , I also lift and have to be slightly active. Obviously way different than say a office desk job. Does anyone know anything about this? I'm getting nervous because I don't get medical leave or vacation time for another 6 months (surgery is in 4 months) so I'd have to figure out how to take the least amount of time off work possible.. Is that even possible??
  3. I'm currently Going thru my 6 month process and I am in my fourth month, not scheduled yet but my surgeon estimates around febuary! I'm so nervous something will go wrong and I Wont get approved . I'm More nervous about that than I am the surgery!
  4. My insurance requires me to have documented dr visits with my surgery center for 6 months before I can get approved and scheduled. December will be my 6 month.. But according to my surgeon, even after my insurence approves I can't have the surgery until febuary.. And it's not because that's the only time Available for the surgery center. And it's not anything that has to do with my insurence. Does anyone know why even after my 6 months why I'd have to wait another 2 months ? Has anyone been In this situation? I wanted my surgeon To clarify but I was in a rush to work after my appointment, and I don't go back I till November ????
  5. I have UHC aswell, how long do the approval take?
  6. I'm close ???? I had my first consultation July 20th, and since then I've had a nutrition apt, psych eval, barium swallow, GI ultrasound and my monthly visits which I'm required To do for 6 months before I'm approved. My surgeon said my surgery would be around feb/march because my info wont be sent out to insurance until 2016. I'm new to this forum and also looking for ppl who are getting the surgery in the same time frame!
