My paperwork was just submitted yesterday...I pray to have approval by the end of next week...I'm going to the Barix Center in Langhorne (Dr. Marymor)...where in Philly are you going???

Im at Abington hospital recovery isn't too bad, the first few hours were the worst

Glad everything went good...hopefully, I'll be joining you n a month...I was approved today...to my surprise less than 24 hrs!!!

Wow, that's awesome! I'm jealous - I went to Abington for the pre-work up stuff and found out my insurance doesn't cover "anything related to obesity"...they actually have an exclusion clause for it! SO ridiculous! Needless to say, I would have to pay for it by myself. I relaly wanted to go to ABington because I just moved to Glenside, but it costs $14,000-17,000 out of pocket there No way I could ever afford that. So I've been saving my money, and I will be going to Mexico to have the surgery and it's$6500 out of pocket. Quite a difference! But I will be going to Abington for all my follow up appointments and such.

Im in Philly. I had surgery on Oct 14 and was discharged the next afternoon. Im doing well and my checkup is on Friday. I had my surgery ar Hahnemann hospital through the Hahnemann center for sugical weight loss. They are a terrific group of doctors and staff.
