  1. Hello, thank you for posting this information. I have just recently heard about the whole "mindfulllness" concept, and am trying to keep it in mind, especially when I am eating..........new to the idea, but will def read up on it! Thanks for the reminder!
  2. Awesome story!! Love it! So proud of your accomplishments!
  3. Yep.............frosting out of a can too. Would buy it just to secretly eat it out of the tub........sometimes even putting it on ice cream............Wow this topic is a real eye opener, but glad to see I am/was not alone.
  4. Again..just read this one! What is it with peanut butter and maple syrup!!
  5. Oh my God! I just read this!! See my previous post! What is WITH us????????????????
  6. Ha! That''s funny! Growing up, we never had junk food in the house..........ever. So, I learned at an early age to improvise. One of my favorite things to do..............on the sly of course.........even at 8 years old, I was hiding food.............would be to mix either maple syrup or brown sugar with peanut butter (depending on what was available). I would mix it a coffee cup, and then be sure to wash the cup out. (Couldn't leave any evidence). How sad.
  7. What a journey Cowgirl, how you have grown! That what this is about, learning to love ourselves enough so that it shows on the outside! Keep up the posts, I love reading your words!
  8. Hello All! While I don't reply a whole lot on here, I do read almost everything everyday! I love all of you, especially the vets that were on a lot when I first started, namely LauraVen, Lipstick Lady, Butterthebean, et all. I am especially thankful for GamerGirl, whom I do miss a lot. I come on hoping to see a post from her everyday! She had stats similar to mine, and was about my age, and she just inspired me a whole lot! Thanks everyone for being here, and inspiring each other!
  9. Hello and congratulations! This month is my 1 year anniversary too! Isn't life grand now!
  10. You will! You will be there before you know it!
  11. Oh man, why is the after pic so small! LOL!
  12. Hoping these pics show up! Still have about 25-30 pounds to go, why are they the hardest! Love my life now, cannot believe all this change happened in one year! Any more Sept 2014 sleevers out there? Good luck to everyone and to all you newbies...........it's worth it, it's worth it, it's worth it!
  13. Hello! I went to one support meeting, back when I was a month out. I would like to go again, but the distance is 1 hour away, and I work 12 hours a day. Do you go? Do you find them helpful?
  14. Hey You! You look great! I had my surgery in the same office, but with Dr Clark Gerhart! Even at the same time! I had mine Sept 25! Only I lost 93 pounds! You look great! Congrats!
  15. Ummm, maybe for you....................but I ain't gonna lie.............I was pretty healthy pre op, and I honestly went into to look goooood! (The health benefits are a plus...but I love the way I look!)
  16. Shayne, you look so happy now! I too, read with tears in my eyes. I hope all newbies read this! Even though I don't know you, I feel sooo happy for you! Congratulations on your new life!
  17. Check out "MiracleSuit" I just ordered one, and am waiting for it to come. They are expensive, but I got a brand new one on E - Bay for a third of the price. They have a lot of support and look sexy!
  18. Oh Lipstick, all I can say is Jesus Chriissttt~~ Look at you! That last picture where you are standing, and you have your arms outstretched! That is so beautiful and sexy!! I see that, and I get tears in my eyes, cuz even though I am 2 inches taller than you, we have similar stats, and YOU ARE HOW I WANT TO LOOK! CONGRATULATIONS!
  19. Oh my god I am sooo glad to see you back on! No lie, I was just coming on here this am to post you a private message to see how you have been doing! I always enjoyed reading your posts, and really missed you while you were gone! You have lost a lot since I saw you last, you look amazing! Hope things have been going well for you and your family!
  20. Hello! I always start my day with a Health Wise Hot chocolate drink. It has 15 grams of protein, and only 70 calories. That usually lasts me about 4 hours, and it really does fill you up. It is very hard being a caretaker for someone. Your needs get put to the back burner while you take care of your husband. Is there anyone who can help you for a few hours a day? It is really hard to be successful when you are unable to focus on what you need. Good luck to you!
  21. Hmmm. Bufflehead, I am glad you said that. I didn't want to admit it to myself! I have been a size 10 since like the fourth grade, but lately, they have seemed tight! That has NEVER happened. I could always just go and buy shoes, not even try them on and they would fit....but not now!
  22. That was beautiful! I actually got tears in my eyes! I feel so happy for you, and i don't even know you............ but we are sharing the same journey.
  23. So glad you survived your surgery! What a brave step you took! I am so proud of you and glad you took the time to write your story and inspire others! I know you are an inspiration to me!
  24. Love this!! I never understood the people who were worried about "lying". So what if people perceive what you say as a lie, (if indeed it is). Just because someone asks something doesn't give them the right to know. If you don't feel comfortable telling people what you have had done, then don't tell..........do whatever makes you feel comfortable, and feel good about what you are doing! You do not owe ANYONE an explanation!
  25. Oh my god! You look absolutely fantastic! And with so much weight lost, your skin looks amazing! What is your secret?!
