what weird is my dr doesnt have ya on a liquid diet before surgery,its a low carb diet,weird how each dr is differant

hey john i dont thin k you would need the diet,just what he wants you to do before hand,if u go to his seminor you will really like him,yeah im gonna be worryed about after lap b and i dont want excess skin and hope insurance will pay for a tummy tuck ,or id be really sad.how much do you have to lose?i know he has u see lisa shes right down from his office she tells you what to eat exc.. wwell keep in touch since u in this area be nice to have a friend to chat about lap band from area,if u need to know anything else just ask ,i just cant wait for the phone call telling me a date,hopefully gthis month or beg august.good luck

also, i called insurance found out what i needed,then after 6 month diet saw him,and had aready set up my 2 other dr appts for the nxt week,so was easy,if u go to semior thing in bossier,they will see what your insurance wants you to do ahead,i just planned ahead and came to this site alot.

hi im from bossier and i went to my seminor for dr.george meriman,i really like him,asked him alot questions and he ansered them all great,i hear hes very good,im just waiting for all my stuff to sent in to bcbs this week,and hopefully get approved. its called surgical specialists,shreveport la.i got my other 2 tests done to,pycho test.and most in surance want a 6 month dr diet i had to,

what u use for the scars to heal?

wow@@@@@ wtg,i called mydr office yeterday to see if they mailed out my stuff yet to bcbs.im still hoping i can get mine this month,id be so excited.just worry about the healing part,i know i had doble knee surgery a yr ago,my scars arent bad but i liked it more with out them,i guess thats just me,i alwats wear lower shiorts so to hide them.im hoping to make my fade good on stomach,well gl

weird thing is my dr says to eat a certain diet before the surgery,its not liquid diet,he figures youll be on that after.i just hope sfter the scars arent like monster looking,i hope mine fade really well.anyone have good luck on scars looking good?i wish u luck just think tho this time nxt summer u gonna be looking hot or sooner.gl lmk how it went

im still waitin g to se if im approved for lap band,but have a weird question,is there people whove only ever had to have 1- 2 fills ever?:biggrin: whats normal fills people get?

i didnt gain any or lose,u dont want to lose to much then they might think u can do it with out the bandband,i know that sounds b ad,but thats what i heard,no the dr kept track of it all,so when they make copy of my records its all in there,also i was on jenny craig before and got aletter from them saying yrs back i was on there program,but they only think a dr diet counts its ended up costed me after co pays somethinbg like 89 a month to see my dr,its not covered for morbiisty.that was my co pay included since i only f got 5 visits my family for 25 beg year,see yr dr right away start the 6 month deal,she was cheapest way to go.

hey ,i went to my dr for 6 months she put me on diet,and weighed me at end 6 months she wrote me aletter saying i had done my diet and she said she wanted me to have lap band.then i went pyshco ele i made this appt just before i saw lap band dr so few days later i had the pyshco test done costed me 35.00 for letter head,and the nutrisnest costed me 73.00.now im just seei ng when they gonna mail to bcbs.lm k what happens to you:biggrin:

i went to nuitrisnest thirsaday,even tho i dont have a date yet for lap band they ready to send my stuff into bcbs,i can eat before surgery,not a liwuad diet i was surprized,think nite before nofood after 11 pm,its 3 meals a day the whole time but small ones,my dr says carnation and atkins isnt good choice plus,they told me protein drink 1 month after lap band ,then stop them,just food then,on;y time u go back pn drinks os after a fill.so differnat then what some other dr say.

mushies for me is only 1/4th cup of vegatble or fruit in a can,im suirprized so much,i still thinks ots weird how each dr says something differant,i havent started yet just got the paper that says mushies is that,

went today to see the nutrinest,anyway she told me ill only be onthese protein shakes 1 month ,then ill get all my protein from meals,wont need sheakes only when i get a fill for few days after each time.its funny how each dr says differant,and atkins is a nono.she said and slimfast to much cals she told me to buy unjuryprotein powder.never atkins shakes makes u not lose as fast,weird
