AngelaWilliamsMD got a reaction from Alex Brecher in How Do You Track Your Food?
Whenever I feel like my weight loss is slowing, I'm more diligent about using the My Fitness Pal app. I like how you can see your overall carbs, Protein, fat, and calories for the day.

AngelaWilliamsMD got a reaction from Dar61 in Giving up my daily habit (weighing myself)
I admire you for your courage, but I for one, hate to see surprises. To me, the scale provides accountability and motivation, even if the number is not what I want to see.

141 this morning! I'm so happy for a new challenge.

AngelaWilliamsMD got a reaction from bhopeful in Back to work
I work as a physician and took 6 weeks off. I factored in the physical fatigue, mental fatigue, and overall malaise into my decision. Besides, if I had to run to a Code Blue or perform CPR I wouldn't have been in the proper physical shape to.

AngelaWilliamsMD reacted to Thinside in How many carbs do you shoot for?
@@AngelaWilliamsMD that is amazing. I don't know how you did that! I'm struggling to stay below 50 or 60! I'm not eating any bread, crackers, Pasta, rice, corn, peas, potatoes (usually), but there seem to be carbs in so many things! My drinks, Protein bars (only eat 1/2 a bar about twice a week), fruit, even 3 apiece in my veggie sausages. I just checked my food tracker from yesterday. 4 grams of carbs in my 2% cottage cheese, 3 in the tuna packet I ate, 3 in tofu. By the end of the day, those all add up!

I also was a big fan of chili (particularly Wendy's) at that stage.

AngelaWilliamsMD got a reaction from LoseItKacy in B12 shots?
I used to get these injections at a local weight loss clinic along with Phentermine. I admit the injections, which aren't so bad, made me feel more energetic and in a better mood. I'm on the vitamin patches now but am considering going back to the injection form.

AngelaWilliamsMD got a reaction from losing2win in Relationship problems
Since the surgery, my boyfriend of 6 years has become more body conscious. He's always been of average weight, but is more interested in getting in shape.

I don't know about everyone else but I'm proud to say how much weight I've lost.

AngelaWilliamsMD got a reaction from watchoutinmexico in If you went to mexico for your gastric sleeve surgery, who was your doctor and how much did it cost?
I'm not criticizing you for picking Dr. Almanza. As you've stated, you claim you knew about all his horror stories upfront. Just because you turned out okay does not mean the next patient will. And we're not talking about leak complication rates. Critically ill patients have been left at the border by Dr. Almanza and his staff because they were "too sick". Others are in comas. This isn't a joke!

No not at all. The less people who know, the better IMHO.

AngelaWilliamsMD got a reaction from liannatx in How often is it okay to eat?
If you are truly hungry, then it is okay to eat. Early on, I could only eat a few bites at a time and would find myself hungry every 2-3 hours.

Wow, you're a strong cookie! Good luck on the surgery

AngelaWilliamsMD got a reaction from bhopeful in My doctor said NO to surgery!
I'm surprised that you haven't tried a weight loss medication at this stage. Surgery shoul be reserved when there are no other options left.
-
AngelaWilliamsMD got a reaction from Babbs in How often is it okay to eat?
Eating a full meal three times a day is much different than eating a few bites six times a day, IMO.

AngelaWilliamsMD got a reaction from longjohs in Good toning/tightening skin lotion
I buy Estée Lauder Advance Time Zone for my mother (it's pricey), but as someone who used to urge her to get a facelift, she has had some noticeable toning with this cream.

@@wannaBthinsoon
I am also a big fan of P3 snacks! They are made by Oscar Meyer and consist of a small amount of meat, cheese, and nuts. I carry with me to work all of the time.
