New Question- FUN
"Sexual Healing" by Marvin Gaye (the song, not actually with Marvin Gaye ) Edited. Sorry, I read it wrong. I read it as "what do I need right now". An intro song: "Beautiful Day" by U2.

The last time I saw something that had money on it and smelled like fish, there was a 2 drink minimum.

It's one of those Mondays today
Or any pants... LOL After my bra - my pants are the first thing to go when I get home! Hopefully that doesn't happen when you got to "Home Depot".

It's one of those Mondays today
If there ever was an image of a cat in a sombrero with a bottle of Tequila that could sum up this Monday morning so far, this is it!

People that not happy for you
Just remind yourself are doing this for yourself and your loved ones. Maybe tell them you want to live a longer, healthier and happier life. But they probably won't get that if they made a hurtful remark in the first place. If some people can't see that, then maybe they are people you shouldn't associate with as often, or possibly not at all. Surround yourself with supportive positive people. Believe in yourself.

In ONE WORD...
(receiving a) BJ If that is too many words, then: Peace

Beating yourself up nutritionally speaking
Remind me to never mention any of the words "variable speed", "drill" or "batteries" in a post again; or at least not without including the words "cold shower".

"VS" as in "variable speed" (drill) -nothing dirty intended. You know how us guys love our power tools. You should see this little beauty of a variable speed drill I have, light weight, dual speeds (0-450RPM, 0-1500RPM), 20V lithium-ion battery, etc., oh yeah! (I know you meant Victoria's Secret" )

Sleeve or Bypass
Congratulations on making your decision to have WLS. The correct choice is the one that is best for YOU based upon your expectations and medical condition(s). Have you performed any research based upon major WLS centers of excellent, published articles from professional societies & journals, etc.?

Officially beneath the "obese" threshold!
Congratulations on the fantastic effort you have made so far. Keep up the great work.

Tips on how to eat more slowly
I tried that app on Halloween. After the 30th trick-or-treater rang our doorbell, man was I stuffed!

Pizza... After WLS? I say YES!
Thank you for sharing this recipe. Your excess weight loss is amazing! Very inspirational.

Today just stinks.
Thanks, but I am not sure that is what she was requesting. Funny, LL, you don't look "juju-ish".
-
What smells?
Could it be ketosis?

Did you tell people?
Not to sound crude, especially during lunchtime (although that never stopped me before); if the medically supervised diet suggestion that was made doesn't work, perhaps tell them "I am not eating (or not eating that much) because my stomach is bothering me a little". If they are still persistent, tell them "I have explosive diarrhea", that will stop all questioning on why you aren't eating dead in its tracks.

Sandwich Wraps
That sounds really good!!! I wish I had that right now! :-) She had me at "ham". That's sounds really delicious.

Bananas are NOT a low carb food
I will always think of you whenever I floss.

Bananas are NOT a low carb food
Unfortunately, it's not that simplistic of an issue. I think that's the OP's whole point. Basically. I didn't think so many people would instantly equate oreos as being equal to bananas, which is the most simplistic assumption. The idea that so many people would want to debate facts and numbers is baffling to me. This is a nutrition topic, about low carb fruit choices. Not a debate about if science is witch craft. Bananas are not the devil, but if you are post-op and trying to follow a low carb diet, they are not a low carb fruit. I am not even going to get into the physics and mass of mashing food because that seems to be beyond the scope of conversation here. I can mash my 45 year old ass into a string bikini but trust me, it's still not going to be the right size. That image would look like an old toothless person flossing while tilting their head. I am sorry, I did not intend to be mean. You must forgive me, I am an ESTJ so I have difficulty expressing emotion.

Emotional
Yes you are normal. This is very common. There is a rush of hormones with the rapid weight loss, your body just went through trauma (a major surgery) and you may have had many personal feelings, concerns and anxiety built up prior to the surgery and feelings about your life post surgery. Congratulations on your WLS and the beginning of a new you.
-
Who did you tell?
It is a personal choice, there is no right or wrong answer. I told my family, friends and a few people at work before the surgery (including my supervisor). I didn't want people to think I had a disease or were sick, since I was obese for many years and suddenly am losing a lot of weight. Whoever commenting on how I look great due to the weight I lost, I told them the truth.

I am also an ESTJ like you..... ESTJ (Extraverted Sensing Thinking Judging) As an ESTJ, your primary mode of living is focused externally, where you deal with things rationally and logically. Your secondary mode is internal, where you take things in via your five senses..... Should I be proud or scared?

Night eating.
Try to find activities to keep you busy (crafts, emails, reading, exercise, etc.). Also as people pointed out, a Protein shake or lean protein (like some left over chicken breast) can curb that hunger since it takes longer to digest protein. You can also try having a drink first to make sure it isn't partially due to thirst. Don't feel bad, you are far from alone with this, including me.
