  1. Yes you did. Now moving forwards, stick to the plan, it is not a reecommendation, it is a recovery plan post major surgery. I know you can do it.
  2. Do I miss the self loathing, embarassment of how I looked, never wanting to see my reflection in a mirror or be photographed, lack of energy, aches and pains, comorbidities, etc.? NEVER!
  3. I was given a straw in my Water cup in the hospital room right after surgery. I only use a straw on rare occassions when I buy a fountain sugar free drink, not for any other reasons but I don't use straws otherwise. To each there own. If someone is afraid they will draw too much air, then they shouldn't use them. They do come in handy if you decide to puree a pork chop or taco only 3 days after surgery.
  4. Okay I think I'll just grab some Magnums.... I don't want to risk getting pregnant but I like to have a good time!!! He just gotta deal with it Magnums ??? Much respect. .357 or .44? Magnums?Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App Something tells me that magnum sizes guys have this conversation...I know what you are thinking, did he fire blank shots or were they live?" Well to tell you the truth in all this excitement I kinda lost track when my eyes rolled to the back of my head and my knees buckled. But being this is a Magnum sized schlong, the most powerful penisgun in the world, you've gotta ask yourself one question: "Do I feel lucky?" Well, do ya, punk? LOL. Thank you "Dirty-mouth Harry". Dirty mouth not so much, dirty mind absolutely! I guess this brings a different meaning to the follow up "Dirty Harry" movie, "Magnum Force".
  5. he's gonna have to deal with it {condoms}... I have to focus on myself right now He can enjoy making love to you while wearing a condom, but if he won't wear one and must feel skin, tell him to use his hands (he doesn't need latex gloves for that).

  7. With rapid weightloss and assocciated changes/increase in hormone levels, it could make you more fertile. Tell him to wrap that rascal.
  8. I guess that is what the saying "I died and went to hog heaven" means. Thankfully I don't live near that restaurant...but the next time I am in NYC........hmmmmmm.
  9. Perhaps the best person to ask for advice is someone who knows your medical history and WLS complications with certain pre/post surgery behaviors; your surgeon.
  10. I guess at this point in time, from the OP's original post, the message to be taken is that many of us like bacon.
  11. Dub, don't do that, have some class, there are ladies present. It's all good, bro. Thick reference tools seem to be in favor 'round here. In that case, if you are "grabbing a book", shouldn't you be grabbing your "Longfellow"?
  12. You are more like a "data doberman". (from your present avatar picture -in case someone reads this at a later date if you change it) Then I'm actually a 'data miniature pinscher who thinks he's a doberman' That's what I get for viewing this on a tablet. I was trying to build up your dog's self esteem.

  15. Yes it is, if someone wants to prove that Darwin was correct. Maybe on the 4th day it is ok.
  16. I guess the "in" is silent (and invisible) before sane.
  17. Absolutely! As in not having it performed a few years earlier.
  18. People need to take self accountability and not ask enablers to validate their poor behaviors. I need to lose some more weight and have fallen back into some old bad behaviors, but I take full responsibility for my actions, regardless of what the stresses may be; recently they have been quite significant. I like to paraphrase and modify what Harry Truman said: "The fork stops here". As in, I ultimately control what food I eat. Bottom line, everyone should have been briefed on the basics of pre/post bariatric surgery lifestyle changes. If someone is not sure, they can easily research the information from reputable.sources on theinternet or ask their doctors and nurses. Unfortunately enablers and people validating their bad or dangerous behaviors can appear to some of the readers as acceptable. We can't save the world, but we can help people who want to be helped.
  19. Thanks for sharing this. I hope you feel ok now. Did you call your surgeon to let them know what happened? Hopefully people will realize after reading this why they need to follow their post op plans.
  20. Imagine the shit storm that would happen if someone said Trump used a.straw after bariatric surgery
  21. Oh, you mean like the Republicans that rallied around Obama? #notmypresident Both parties were at fault.
  22. Lots of love to our Veterans for all the sacrifices they made. As for rallying around Trump that's not going to happen...I've already started looking at countries I can move to and keep my SS retirement and Medicare. There is no way this Buffon is my presidentSent from my SM-G550T1 using the BariatricPal App You will need to.deal with it, he is. If you don't like his decisions as a president, we do live in a society where we can speak up and institute changes. As far as running away to another country, I am sorry you feel that way about the Country I love.
  23. Like him or not, he is the President elect of the USA. He will be sworn in as POTUS on January 20th. We need to rally behind him ans support him and his cabinet for the best interest of our great Nation. If we do not agree with what he, his cabinet or Congress present as executve orders, rules or laws, or pass as such, then we, as Americans need to speak out in a civilized way and let our voices be known. Today is Veteran's Day. Brave men and women served our Country to protect our freedoms, some giving the ultimate sacrifice for those rights.
  24. What about bananas, seriously? There was a super serious discussion about the nutritional merits (or lack thereof) regarding bananas. As you can imagine, for every thousand members, a thousand different opinions on bananas. sigh Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App That is because we are such an interesting "bunch".
  25. hello, sorry off today but was sorta asked to so thought I would update and say surgery went well, happy to have a private room, gas is killing my chest, walked the floor twice. Nothing by month still and I'm sooo thirsty and they won't even let me use sponge lollipops... I am using mouthwash but it doesn't help much and as per usual they have kinda messed my pain management up. Still overall I'm happy Congratulations on your surgery.
