How do you view overweight people now that your thin?
I don't judge people physically. It is a person's character that defines them to me. If the overweight person is struggling with weight related issues, then I view them with empathy.

No Support!
Snakes? Yes snakes, they make a healthy snack. They are high in Protein, low in fat and one variety even has a fun toy rattle prize in it.

I have that meme in the flavors of a$$h0le and idiot. That was Ben & Jerry's two least popular flavors.

Blocking
Wow, this thread actually made it to the second site before degenerating into the usual "let's just be a bit ridiculous" bad joke. Where is the symbolic "bacon the 2nd day post-op", btw? Maybe I just missed it? You can have bacon starting the third day post-op.

Boxed Water Is Better!
I bought some powdered Water, the only problem is I don't know what to add to it to mix it.

Trouble with "movements"? Try manners
I'm actually somewhat older than the target demographic for them, but I got hooked on the show when I was still working in the corporate world, and getting home late at night after working second shift in a retail store. It drives Mrs. LittleBill nuts. You said "nuts". Heh, heh, heh, heh, heh (Beavis and Butthead laugh).

Or you're not overly sensitive and looking to be offended when you ask for justification to eat tacos 45 minutes post op. Everyone knows that it isn't safe to eat taco's 45 minutes post op; you need to wait 1 hour. That's swimming. No SWIMMING for an hour post op. I never go swimming while eating tacos, so that's not a problem for me.

For those of you who did not have "food funerals":
No offense was intended. In the top picture, was that Jesus's Jewish neighhbors, the 3 Weismans?

For those of you who did not have "food funerals":
Not only that, when He ate with the disciples after the resurrection, He stuck with grilled fish and whole wheat bread. When they got out on land, they saw a charcoal fire in place, with fish laid out on it, and bread. Jesus said to them, “Bring some of the fish that you have just caught.” So Simon Peter went aboard and hauled the net ashore, full of large fish, 153 of them. And although there were so many, the net was not torn. Jesus said to them, “Come and have breakfast.” John 21:9-12 Was that meal "the last brunch"? -I'm going to rot in hell.

Complications from advancing diet too soon
For the people that do not wish to listen to medical advice from their surgeons, nurses, post WLS patient guides and reputable bariatric sources of information that all state they shouldn't do something, then:
-
For those of you who did not have "food funerals":
Never. Why behave in a way that helped you become obese? food is not dead post WLS. I doubt Jesus overate at his true "Last Supper".

Complications from advancing diet too soon
I am sorry for your loss. Thank you for sharing this important information that we need to follow the plans (especially the post recovery plans). I am equally annoyed not only at the people who blatantly violate important rules to follow post-WLS that are designed to help a surgically altered intestine and/or stomach heal properly but the enablers with no medical/surgical experience who say that it is ok not to follow these critical steps, because they did not, think it is ok to not follow or know someone who did not follow.

You might be a WLS patient when...
And your fiance. Any suggestions. I love him, but worried he's finding what I loose.Sent from my 5054N using the BariatricPal App Cook smaller portions so there is only enough for supper or take the leftovers and put them in storage containers in the freezer for either a quick supper when you are running late one day or smaller portions for lunch.

Probably the last quiet day at the gym for a while
Bill, You meant one of these from Friendly's, right? Uhh, yeah, that's right. Maybe I should go back in February then. When I joined, the membership guy told me if I injured myself I could "suspend" my membership until I was able to participate again. I could call in and tell them I injured my humerus and I'll be back when it gets better. Who was the marketing genius at Friendly's that came up with that dessert name? A few years back, I was there with my family, the waitress asked me after our meal "would I like a happy ending?". My son, who was a young teenager at the time, hid behind his menu and was snickering. Since I try to be a gentleman most of the time, I had to say with a straight face, "no thank you"....but the thought did cross my mind to answer that differently.

Phyllo (so) bites?
Yesssss love it. It's cool bc we can put it in a mini muffin pans and have bite size. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App Muffin pans? That's brilliant. Thanks for the suggestion.

No more citrus ever?
Ever or just in the beginning phases, post surgery? You probably don't want to drink your calories instead of eating them (OJ vs an orange). Some fruit is more fattening than others; but in moderation it should be part of a normal diet.

Phyllo (so) bites?
Thanks, now I am in the mood for some spanakopita. I'll look for a lower calorie recipe version on the internet.

The surgery fixes the BODY but, not the MIND
If needed, it can be beneficial to discuss what is eating at us, so we can control what we are eating. You are right, WLS is only a tool. We need to be in the right state of mind to use it to its fullest potential.
