  1. Having my endoscopy in the morning. Last of tests I need. I still have until August to finish my nutritional visits tho. Exercise demo next Thursday too
  2. I agree AvalonNeeCee! I gained 2 lbs on last months visit and you'd have thought it was 20. But at least don't have to lose a certain amt like some insurances ask. Thank goodness. Just complying with the 6 nutritional visits is crazy enough I believe.
  3. Have a lovely trip, you deserve it after your big accomplishment. My hubby and I plan on a Cancun Mexico trip after a substantial loss as a celebration
  4. Kealot wonderful progress for you also! You all are great inspirations
  5. Do you need a 40 bmi or something? Otherwise it shouldn't matter unless you are gaining each month. I wish you luck on your journey!_
  6. Past two days have been difficult for me wanting to smoke. I'm only 9 days smoke free. This is very very hard not to do. Especially being already tense from wanting this surgery over already. Longest time of my life I believe!
  7. I think it's a bit much to have small children come visit. It's one night as someone else said. I have small grandchildren I dearly love. But I wouldn't appreciate if in a room with someone bringing them in. Not a place for little ones. Plus hospitals breed infections.
  8. I'm taking chantix too. No nicotine tho
  9. I'm doing good not smoking actually. I just keep telling myself, eyes in the prize. Lol. And been making the smokers in my life keep them away from me while smoking too. I've seen where second hand smoke showed up on a couple people.
  10. So happy for you like like. Good luck on the other side of this! ????
  11. I was on diet pills thru my PCP last year. Will that help me get by the 6 month supervised diet plan? Forgot to mention to my nutritionist.
  12. Already had surgeons appointment too
  13. I had gained 2 at my last appointment and started drinking a protein drink for breakfast. Only 1 pop a day versus a 2 liter. And 8 bottles of water versus none before. I've lost 8 pounds
  14. I have had 5 back surgeries and have gained my weight along this awful road. Tried diet after diet, miracle weight loss pills. Etc. Lol. But this is going to very much help my back, feet, legs. I'm 5'3" and 219 lbs. My goal weight is 130. Just a little more than my weight per back surgeries. Gonna do exercise, already started. My surgery is in August. Happy, happy, happy to get there finally. ☺
  15. Shakti, just an opinion. I know someone who had lap band and seen many posts about this same. Alit if times they slip and have to be redone. So I would not have the band.
  16. Welcome! I am having the sleeve in August myself. I am so very excited. I've already changed my eating habits. And giving up the coca cola too. Drinking tons of water, which I drank zero before. Already started drinking a protein drunk for breakfast too, where before just ate nothing. I'm gonna rock this if it kills me. Lol
  17. I am obsessed with having this too. All I think about constantly. The wait is stressful itself. Then I guess they don't submit for final approval until everything is completed. I'm having m9ne in August. Would love to have a date to shoot for though. But time is passing a little faster than I imagined and I've learned so much on this sight. Hardest biggie for me getting ready for surgery was quitting smoking. Glad I did, but extremely hard
  18. I don't have an exact day yet, but getting closer. I have my endoscopy this Friday the 5th. Getting so excited I wish it was just over. Hopefully after my exercise learning class on the 8th maybe I'll get a date. Not sure when my Drs office does it. I'm in Ashland, ky. Dr Roderick Tompkins at KDMC
  19. I'm in Ashland, ky. Tentative date for August. My Dr office everyone seems nice. But they ate all in same office too. The psychiatrist, nutritionist, and surgeon is next door. Pretty good set up
  20. I really like the special K protein drinks. Been having 1 for breakfast past cpl weeks. I also like muscle milk
  21. Congratulations! Hope you are feeling better as days go by
  22. Be careful gaining weight, my nutritionist said you can only gain 2 lbs during the 6 months because of insurance requirements. I have no diet until 12 days before surgery. But have cut from tons if coca cola a day to one, and no water to 8 bottles a day now
  23. Mine is 36.7 but I have several co morbities. Plus where I've had 5 back surgeries, lots of spinal diseases too. I have BCBS also. My Dr office go on your first weigh in for your bmi too
  24. That's quick. My insurance required a 6 month nutritionist. Some are only 3 months. Mine will be in August
