    Denied

I went through every appeal there was. Be careful of what I experienced. The insurance company will deny based on the first thing they question. I went through two or three sets of denials before my final and last appeal option. They came back and said the insurance company could not deny based on what they stated but surprised me out of the blue for another reason to deny. I could have easily resolved. Long story short, I didn't want to because of health reasons wait another 6-9 months so I looked at other financial options. I called the bank to see if I could get a loan. I was approved. I only had a couple payments on my car left so I decided to pay it off and exchange car payment for medical loan payment. Dont be discouraged, fight and go through all your insurance appeal options but know there may be other solutions out there. i hope this helps. It was one of my best decisions having gastric bypass surgery. Good luck and best wishes to you.

  5. I've lost 150 lbs and joke with my husband and sisters how I now have deflated balloons. But I'm ok with that. My health is more important and they would have probably ended up looking that way anyways as I get older. I at least have a war story and I'm winning the fight.

    2 years post op.

I am 1 1/2 years out and I've finally hit 150 lb loss. I have 50 more to go. We'll both get there. Hang in there! ?
  7. I am on my second level appeal with Aetna. they continue to deny based on missing information. Guess what, if they really looked everything's there. how frustrating!
