How long were you out of work?

Everyone is different. My surgery was on a Tuesday and I felt great by Friday. Could have gone back to my desk job that Friday but waited till Monday.
  2. I'm one week out today. Nothing but clear liquids a couple protein shakes and a little jello. Today started "phase II" where I could add yogurt and cream soups(no potato or corn soups). I just fixed a bowl of cream of chicken soup. I was able to eat half of it with no problem. Should it have been that easy? I read about people using baby spoons, etc... I am terrified of overdoing and inadvertently sabotaging this. Is that an ok amount to be able to eat at this point?
  3. I'd be fibbing if I said I wasn't a little nervous about this surgery. Not the surgery itself, but rather what is to come after the surgery. You have a certain relationship with food for 40 years....then....BAM!.....here's an ounce of tuna! Enjoy! Does your attitude really change so drastically - so quickly?
  4. New to this site and hope I'm posting in the correct section. IF everything goes as planned(jumping through insurance hoops) I should get sleeved mid July. Just found out today that my daughter will be going to college in Hawaii. We live in Louisiana. She will have to get there mid August. My concern is that I will still not be eating regular food by that point. Concerned about all of the travel time with lack of ability to get the right nutrition. Also, I'm thinking there will be some general labor in getting her set up. Will I have the strength to help her? (I REALLY want to go...lol....you know.....to see my daughter off.....in Hawaii.....)
