jaxmom1974 got a reaction from Lexuskela in Chobani Greek yogurt ... Pumpkin.... SUGARS!? Help!
I'm missing all the pumpkin stuff too! I've started adding pumpkin pie spice to my shakes and it's curbing my cravings big time! Maybe try adding some to your plain yogurt with a dash of stevia.

jaxmom1974 got a reaction from Elode in My holy grail product for DRY skin!
Hyanurolic acid is naturally found in your skin, and between you joints. It's what keeps your joints oiled and your skin plump and supple. I get mine on Amazon. I buy the jolee brand. It's a serum. It lasts a good while too. Just put it under your moisturizer. My derm sells it for way more so I that's why I get it on amazon.

I started using hyaluronic acid under my moisturizer. My dermatologist said it helps you absorb and maintain the hydration of my moisturizer.

I'm in love with Tera's Whey. The dark chocolate isn't sickly sweet and it only has a few ingredients.

jaxmom1974 got a reaction from Elode in Orthostatic hypotension is kicking my Butt!
Same problem here! My Dr. said it's my body adjusting to the weight loss and subsequent drop in blood pressure. I was never on BP meds before surgery but was on the higher end of normal. Now, my BP is on the lower end of normal. I guess we really underestimate the power of the body to recalibrate after such a huge change. I'm only 3 months out post op and have only lost 50#. Hopefully the orthostatic hypotension will end soon!

My sleeve was done on June 5th. I lost 16# pre op and 23# post op. I'm currently in a stall, but I've noticed that my clothes are still getting looser.

jaxmom1974 got a reaction from The Candidate in Insomnia anyone?
I'm one month out and the last week or two I've been waking up at 3:30 or 4:30am. What gives? I'm exhausted. I'm not taking naps, no caffeine. Ugh!

I've started telling more and more ppl. My best reply to nay sayers is "the reason I'm sharing this with you is not for your advice or judgement but for your support". It seems to shut them down immediately. The last thing they hear is "support" and it naturally results in them changing their tune.

I'm almost 9 days post op now and things are great! I tire easily, but I'm able to take bigger sips at a time and i'm eating an ounce at a time with no problems. I'm also down 9# since surgery! Woohoo

I'm finding that my overweight friends are the least supportive. I really didn't expect this. One of my most overweight friends responded by telling me that she had a good friend at work that had WLS and they are no longer friends because they have nothing in common. That really set me back. I didn't even know how to respond.

I finally discussed this with my Dr. And he said that the no NSAIDS forever rule is for the bypass patients. After 4 months I can take them sparingly. What a relief!

jaxmom1974 got a reaction from Kfohiotime4change in Sleeved this morning
I had my surgery today at 11:30 and I am so shocked at how very little pain I have! No nausea right now, but I haven't started my Clear Liquids yet. I'm walking and pulling 3000 on the incentive spirometer. I really just had to share this because its pretty awesome!!! I guess I was expecting the worse. I'm 5'2 #215, SW 195#. I followed a preop diet of strict carb/starch restriction to lose my weight. The Dr said by detoxing from sugars and starches and caffeine before hand is probably why I'm doing so well.
