  1. I get tired of leftovers quickly these days, but someone in my support group had some amazing advice... "Get over your phobia with wasting food and throwing away food". I have to tell myself that no one is going to die be asides threw out half a casserole or half a banana. It's just food...
  2. I'm down 70# and only have 5# to go until I reach goal. I'm working out like crazy but old habits are creeping up that I have to really be mindful of. Water is still a chore, but I'm getting there
  3. I had my surgery 6/5/15 and have 5 more pounds to go too and the stalls are horrific! I barely lose a pound every other month now. I work out four times a week doing cardio and strength training. My diet is pretty darn clean too. You are not alone girl! This last little bit is killing me too!
  4. I'm 5'2" and was sleeved 6/15 and I've lost a total of 65#. Highest weight 210# surgical weight 197# and 145#now. I lost rapidly at first but it's been slow to come off since August. I keep hitting stall after stall. I go to high intensity spin classes 2-3 times a week and TRX once a week. I think I look great!!!
  5. I just started working out harder, I wonder if that has something to do with my stall?
  6. So, I'm first to say that I love my cocktails!!! I'm only 4 1/2 months out so I haven't started drinking yet, but my NUT told me that one 4oz glass of wine can slow your metabolism for up to 24hrs. That scared me straight! So, I'm not a alcohol hater, that little tidbit made me reconsider taking a drink! Lol
  7. Someone had the best video link that showed exactly why you shouldn't drink while you eat. It was a guy with applesauce and a funnel. It etched into to my mind why I shouldn't drink when I eat.
  8. Diced fresh tomatoes 1 can of diced tomatoes and green chilies (Rotel) Diced fresh onion Minced garlic Cilantro juice of one lime Salt and pepper to taste Jalapeños if you like it hot I don't have exact measurements, I just chop and mix
  9. Has anyone got a stall yet? I've been on one for 3 weeks bow. Utah. I know it will pass. The good news isotherm my hair is shedding less.
  10. I was the same way! Isn't it funny how our minds trick us! Your pics look great! Keep up the good work!
  11. Most programs don't want you eating breads, pasta, chips, crackers, cookies and stuff like that for a while. My dr says never. If you fill up on protein first you won't have room for those things either.
  12. G2 is a staple! And I strained low fat cream soups.
  13. Luckily I'm not tempted by nerds and suckers and skittles. I'm more of a chocolate girl. So, I just bought all the stuff I'm don't care about.
  14. Call your Doctor. It may be something simple, but better safe than sorry. Please keep us posted on what he says tho. Hope u feel better soon!
  15. I'm missing all the pumpkin stuff too! I've started adding pumpkin pie spice to my shakes and it's curbing my cravings big time! Maybe try adding some to your plain yogurt with a dash of stevia.
  16. That can happen with sugary foods and high carb foods. Or you may be eating too fast and too much. Cut your portions down a little and don't exceed 1/2 cup. If you are newer post op don't exceed 1/4 cup.
  17. It seems impossible now but there is a light at the end of the drinking tunnel! Lol every day your inflammation goes down a little more to make more room for fluids and eventually food.
  18. What are your stats? How old are you and what BMI did you start at. Are you avoiding carbs? Amp up your water and protein and drop the complex carbs and see what happens.
  19. Hyanurolic acid is naturally found in your skin, and between you joints. It's what keeps your joints oiled and your skin plump and supple. I get mine on amazon. I buy the jolee brand. It's a serum. It lasts a good while too. Just put it under your moisturizer. My derm sells it for way more so I that's why I get it on amazon.
  20. Amp up your water and protein. It's probably just fluid retention.
