I'm scheduled for surgery August 25th. I was origanally scheduled for July 27th but my insurance was all messed up.

Thanks for letting me know I didn't realize I was in the wrong forum. I was too busy trying to vent.

I am almost 5 months out and I haven't lost any hair either. I'm praying that none of mine comes out because I sure don't want to cut my hair. I take 20,000 mcg of Biotin daily and A/G Pro supplement that helps with Hair growth. I started taking the biotin long before I had my surgery because I was so afraid of losing my hair. I just hope I make it through the next couple of months with no Hair loss.< /p>

I understand where you are coming from but I'm not flaunting it at all. Wouldn't you be happy if you reached a goal that you set for yourself? Well anyway I don't need people like that in my life. And besides that's not a friend that gets mad at you for losing weight.

And yes it really pushed a nerve. But I weighed at the doctors office today and I'm down three more so I hope my stall is over.

This is the same problem I had. I stalked for ten days then finally I'm down three pounds! Yay me. I know I was losing inches but I wanted to see numbers on the scale. I am also down 40 pounds as of today. How much are you dropping in a week?

I think for me I may have started exercising too much too soon. I started a fairly aggressive walking program but given the low calorie level of the pureed diet at the time I may have forced my body to react by shutting down my metabolism. I cut back on the time and intensity of the walking and saw my weight loss pick back up.
I know exercise is a critical component of weight loss and success after surgery, but the level of effort needs to match the calorie intake. In other words, you don't want to burn 250 calories daily in an exercise program when you are only taking in 400.

I walk 45 minutes on the treadmill daily. I drink water all day and one powerade and two Premier Protein shakes a day. As for seasoning I use Weber Salt Free Seasoning.

The fact that you even posted this is a good sign. You know you did something you shouldn't have done, and you're admitting it. Now, just move on. You got hit with an emotional bomb. Would I have done the same? Maybe, maybe not, but as someone who is recovering from using food as a crutch, I can certainly understand why you did.
You've got this. You can do this.
