I'm glad you have a supportive team to help you out! I'm dreading telling my doc...I feel like she's not going to be happy but oh well. You're doing great with your weight loss...I lost part of mine before surgery so more like 70+ pounds in 6 months. Keep in touch ...I'd like to know how everything is going with you since we are both December moms!

Hey all! Just wanted to share my experience with you. My youngest daughter was just born 4/14/15. I had the sleeve surgery march 18 of 2014 and found out after losing 70+ lbs and 4 months later i was pregnant!!! I had severe morning sickness that turned into hyperemesis graviderum and could keep much of anything down until close to 20 weeks pregnant. I was givin iv fluids for dehydration 3 times. I didnt gain any weight with this pregnancy i actually lost 25 lbs while pregnant. My baby did not suffer from my weight loss as she got everything she needed from me. She was born weighing 7 lbs 5 oz and was completely healthy! She is now 13 days old and is breastfeeding with no issues. My milk came in 3 days after birth and have had no problems with making enough milk. My oldest is 6 and was well bef re my surgery but then i was diagnosed with pcos after 3 years of ttc to no evail. This is my miracle baby although i feel my weight was solely responsible for my secondary infertility. Day of surgery i weighed in at 322 lbs and today i weigh 214. Still trying to lose a few more now. Good luck everyone with your pregnancies!!

Hello all. I am 2 months post op and just found out 2 days ago I'm pregnant with my 3rd. This was completely unplanned as we thought we were done having kids and I'm only 2 months post op. I'm pretty freaked out. Glad to find some other people on here pregnant so close to surgery date.

I am afraid of gaining too much weight, afraid of not gaining enough, my age and just how much this is going to change everything. I am excited now that the shock has worn off but so nervous. I had surgery this past Monday. Have been on Clear Liquids for 2 weeks. Did anyone have trouble switching to all liquids when they could? (Pudding, yogurt, cream of wheat, etc). I am really hoping I can handle some of that when its time. Today has been the worst day since my surgery. Gas pain and wanting food so bad!!!

Lisa I too was so scared to eat more than a few bites. I guess eventually we will get used to all this.
How do you all make your Protein Shakes? I haven't been able to have any until today.

My surgery was also Feb 16th. I have been doing well until today. I was missing the idea of food all day even though I am not hungry. It's so HARD to get enough Water and Protein in a day. Today I had a blue raspberry flavored Isopure protein water and that tastes way better than any other flavors I have tried. Can I join the secret group too? ????

I am about to say something that will make some people mad......but keep reading.....just giving my point of view. Don't want to make anyone mad. This is just my experience.
I used to get soooo mad at people who said WLS is the easy way out...............
I have been on just about every single weight loss program known to man kind. About 37yrs worth of it. I have lost and I have regained. Most of us have traveled together on that same stinking road, I'm sure. WLS has been the easiest for me. Yep, I said it. My surgery was so easy. No pain. Recovery super fast and super easy. I was very blessed. The weight just fell off. I didn't struggle with emotional issues regarding food. I didn't cry. I didn't fight it at all. So to me this has been the "easy way" considering all the other avenues I ventured down.
    WAIT......That being said......
    I am only 5 1/2 mths out. I have hit a stall, a huge one.....about 6 weeks now. So....about 6 weeks ago #%^& got real!
I understand why people who don't have weight issues.....or those who do and refuse to face it......say that this is the easy way out. To them they see surgery 1 day and weeks or months later people are 1/2 their size! Easy peasy.
No one outside of this experience will ever understand how difficult this is. They just wont. I really doubt we will ever make anyone understand that WLS is just as difficult as any other weight loss program out there. We will never be able to show them the hard part.....the fight in our heads and the fight to avoid certain foods, maybe forever. They only see that the weight came off fast and that equals easy because dieting without surgery is a slower process.
Little do they know.....little did I know....the real work begins when that grace period ends. For me I had 4 glorious months of "easy". But, I realize the rest of my life this is going to be one difficult fight!
My 600lb life to me is inspiring and sad. I worry that the general public is just gawking at them. Makes me sad for them. They may be inspirational to those of us who struggle with weight.....but I feel they are just entertainment for those who don't.
I've never watched the other show about the young woman who is "happy" as a very obese person. But, there are issues there. In my opinion, no one who becomes obese...with or without medical issues....is "happy". They adjust to it, accept it, and make the best of it....but I guarantee that if there was a "miracle pill" that would turn her into a thin, healthy woman, she would take it.

I had that problem too. As soon as I switched from the narcotic to liquid Tylenol (about day 3) it went away.

I just had surgery this past Monday. I was fine until I got to the hospital then my anxiety kicked in big time. My doctor said that is totally normal and most people do get nervous. I Will say my surgery and recovery this far have been easier than I thought it would be. Just keep remembering why you are doing it and think of all the positive stories you have heard. As far as the liquid diet, I feel your pain. It's no fun!!! But if I (a binge eater) can do it so can you. ????
