  1. Thank you for sharing your story. It made me feel so much better. I was worried about being able to breastfeed.
  2. It looks like I'm due around the end of December. Yea I was scared to death to call my surgeon because I thought they would lecture me. The nurse was actually really supportive and said the main thing to worry about it Nutrition and dehydration. Wow you have lost 100 lbs in 6 months!!! That's amazing. I am down 48 lbs in 2 months. Are you worried about the weight gain and not being able to get it off? I am!
  3. Congrats on the weight loss and pregnancy!!
  4. My doc said I could take 2 Flintstones with Folic acid and then all my other vitamins.
  5. Hello all. I am 2 months post op and just found out 2 days ago I'm pregnant with my 3rd. This was completely unplanned as we thought we were done having kids and I'm only 2 months post op. I'm pretty freaked out. Glad to find some other people on here pregnant so close to surgery date.
  6. Thanks everyone it's good to know this is all normal. Tomorrow I am 10 days out from surgery. I might have to switch to easier vitamins to take. Today I squeezed lemon juice in regular water and that helped to get the sweet taste out of my mouth. Yay!!
  7. Having a rough day today. All these chewable vitamins are making me sick. I feel like everything I can eat is mostly sweet and then all the protein waters are sweet. My stomach is upset and I am feeling weak and shaky. I have so much to get done and don't feel like doing any of it. Can anyone relate?
  8. Yes I will definitely be trying these! Thanks!!
  9. Soreadytolose I have had my serious moments of doubt also!! There are days I miss food so bad!! But I remind myself how good it will feel to be healthy and I get over my little pitty party pretty quick. ????
  10. Botwins I am so sorry you are feeling alone and discouraged. I am only 1 week out from surgery so I am afraid I can't help as far as telling you why. I have heard that stall in your weight Loss are normal. I know that doesn't make it any easier though. Sounds like you are doing everything right. Just keep up the good work!! It will come off eventually.
  11. My doc vitamin list has Flintstones chewable on there. I don't start my vitamins until tomorrow. I am going to try the adult kind first but I bet I end up doing the Flintstones
  12. Readytostart I haven't been able tondo protein shakes yet so I can help. I start them tomorrow but really have no idea how I am supposed to make them.
  13. I had some grape juice in the hospital and I did good with it.
  14. Lisa I too was so scared to eat more than a few bites. I guess eventually we will get used to all this. How do you all make your protein shakes? I haven't been able to have any until today.
  15. Sounds like we are all having very similar lives going on right now. I was able to move to full liquids today after a 2 week clear liquid diet. I had a few bites of heaven today. Lol it was canned cream of potato soup with some protein powder added in. It was so good to eat something other than jello or broth. My stomach handled it well. Yay!! Please add me to FB group christyrheth@gmail.com
  16. Can you give me some examples of soft proteins?
  17. I had surgery this past Monday. Have been on clear liquids for 2 weeks. Did anyone have trouble switching to all liquids when they could? (Pudding, yogurt, cream of wheat, etc). I am really hoping I can handle some of that when its time. Today has been the worst day since my surgery. Gas pain and wanting food so bad!!!
  18. My surgery was also Feb 16th. I have been doing well until today. I was missing the idea of food all day even though I am not hungry. It's so HARD to get enough water and protein in a day. Today I had a blue raspberry flavored Isopure protein water and that tastes way better than any other flavors I have tried. Can I join the secret group too? ????
  19. I am 5 days post Surgery and I have been up in the middle of the night for the last 3 hours with a burning pain just below my chest in my upper stomach. Is this normal? I had my gall bladder removed a long time ago but the pain reminds me of a gall bladder attack. Any input is appreciated.
  20. Not nuts at all. ????. I might be doing crazier things at 3 weeks. I do miss the idea of food even though I am not hungry.
  21. Amiller10 I also had my surgery on the 16th. Basically everything you said is exactly how I am feeling. Good to know there are others going through similar experience. Good luck!!
  22. I feel your pain Sleeve Seeker. I had my surgery This past Monday. I feel like I need to sip every minute of my entire day and I also feel like my stomach is full of water! I did go to GNC and get protein water already made. They don't taste bad just get old. I have no desire for Jello or Broth.
  23. I haven't had any dairy yet. I'm still on clear liquids. But it's a good thought for in the future
  24. I got on here to see if I could find an answer to my gas pains. I am 3 days post op and I burp a lot but can not release from the other end. ???? this was very helpful I will try the gas x. Thanks!
