I saw some of my family last night whom I haven't seen since Christmas also. I am not down that much more since then, but everything has shifted around a bit and the last 20 or 30 pounds really make a difference! My baby brother (10 years younger) said he had never seen me at this weight in his entire life. He is 38... That was hard to hear BUT he said it with such love and admiration as did everyone else. It was at this same birthday event last year that I told everyone I would be having the surgery. (Surgery was June 4, 2015)

WOW 2nd week in a row I lost 6 pounds. These 12 pounds lost make up for the previous 2 weeks stall.

2 days until I can have FOOD again! Been a long 5 weeks.

saw a friend for the first time today since Christmas time. I am down about 50 # since then. He was stunned by the changes, and that was a very nice reaction. Encourages me to keep on with all the hard work.

my hands feel so much better post surgery, I have decided to attempt (once AGAIN) to learn the piano this summer.

@Chrystee - Yes I am lucky. I am in Texas, so it is a quick flight down there so it's easy to go for just 3 or 4 nights. AND that was when I had a VERY good job - from which I got laid off in December.
I have a new job which I am lucky to have but SO much less money that likely those trips will dwindle - at least for a while. Hope you get to go back!

I am home and resting after having major knee surgery yesterday morning. I've only been home a day, and I'm already stir crazy! At least there is some interesting drama to entertain me.

@KindaFamiliar - the difference is that you seem to find a way to get across your point in a kind way. Sometimes people need tough love spoken in a more imperative manner but sometimes they just need to hear the truth told in a kind way. I appreciate that about your responses.

I feel guilty for eating so much (which is literally3 TBS of food at a time) but I can go 4 hours without eating and they want me to eat every 2...I can't imagine it...any advice?

Got my foot checked out today. It hurt way worse after I tried running last night. The are worried it's the start of a stress fracture so I have to wear a boot for 2 weeks and no running.

8 months post-op today! I'm down 141 since surgery and 196 from my highest! So close to the 200 pound mark... I can hardly believe it.
