So depressed. Really need help
Your weight is flying off congrats to you!! I am a very slow loser.....it was depressing at times believe me.....on another note, I have also suffered with depression that started out as post pardom after the birth of my son....he is now 11 and have been on medication ever since....I also was recently able to lower my dosage which last year at this time I never could of imagined being able to do so.....I also went through a time where it was hard when I was feeling down I could use the food as my cushion anymore....and it is hard cause that was my go to as well....also the going out and drinking with my friends was also my outlet.....it is something we have to go through and have to realize our lives have changed.....and find new outlets.....I obviously was never one to exercise.....but finally I have been snowshoeing and even if it is 20 mins to 2 hours it helps clear the head......walking the same....sometimes I crank the tunes sometimes I just walk.....I know people say this and I use to roll my eyes at them all the time but any amount of exercise Big or small does the mind a world of good....now I look forward to my daily walk....I don't do the gym or anything I walk or snowshoe it helps.....something that also helps me at night is colouring....as weird as it sounds I have numerous adult colouring books and it calms me....maybe worth a try....I wish you luck and maybe have a chat with your doc about your meds maybe after all the weight you lost and will continue to lose your meds just are not working for you......I wish you the best.....

Do Protein Bars Trigger Your Sweet Tooth?
No......not at all ....for me ....I always go for the chocolate, double chocolate....they help with the hunger but by the time I am at the end of it I am disgusted haha....I don't find them sweet at all.....or even good....I can only eat them if I am on a road trip or I am in dire need of food till my next meal.....BUT I am not a fan of the shakes either....

Slow weight loss
I am a slow loser on the scale as well.....but I am not working out heavily...yet.....I have also lost no hair and have had a few stalls.....but even if the scale doesn't move much.....my body changes.....so don't only go by the scale, which early in I was bad for.....I am still new to this and learning as I go.....but even if the scale isn't moving my clothes are falling off .....so that is a bonus I guess.....I figure my body just needs time to get use to the weight loss then I lose another 10 to 15 lbs and it takes a break again.....some people it seems to "fall" of but I am not one of these people.

Adult beverages after the sleeve?
you should go by what your doctor says, not what random people online say. Just because someone has one particular experience doesn't mean it will be the same for anyone else. The best thing to do is to go by what your doctor says, they know you and your medical history and the details of your particular procedure. Obviously we should go by our doctors BUT it is nice to hear other people's reactions and such just saying ask your team is not why I come here....I had a non carbonated Smirnoff cooler....ONE.....I was fine.....am I going to go out drinking every weekend? NO I didn't before so def not now.....but I will have a drink at family gatherings or when out with friends if I choose....more times then not I don't......but I like to hear other people's experiences....I don't go by thing in the "internet" thanks for your time.

Tomato soup saved me.....it was the best tasting thing I have ever eaten after 2 weeks of shakes before surgery.....congrats to you for making your water quota already I was no where near protein or water my first 2 weeks out....I know it is hard....I remember the first week was awful....chin up I was able to move to purée fairly quickly then after that your good to go! We are all different.....but people think having surgery is the easy way out to lose weight.....Boy are they WRONG! It is hard......but once your body starts changing you will feel better as well...Good luck a lot of good advice on here!

Caffeine
I had previously gave up pop/soda way before my surgery came into play BUT I am a huge coffee lover...we were not aloud caffeine during the 14 day prep diet...first week was awful, second week wasn't so bad....and I started back with coffee prob 2 to 3 weeks post op....but where I use to drink 3 to 4 cups a day I have one....not for any specific reason that is all I want so all I take....I still like my morning coffee....

Alcohol
I had a total of 2 Smirnoff non carbonated coolers.....I sipped had one one night and the other on a separate night....had a slight buzz....nothing major...I am good again for the year.....felt fine the next day....stayed away from carbonation and beer.....not something I need or miss just wanted to have a drink with the girls is all....which I did and now back to normal life lol....we went tubing down the river for the day I was sober loved it everyone else was drinking didn't bother me a bit and I felt better for it the next day HA!

Alcohol
I am by no means a big drinker....I drink a few times a year at best.....I have family coming home and would like to enjoy a few socialables....I am worried about how it will hit me and what to have.....does it hit you faster now that your stomach is smaller? Please let me know what to expect.

Not losing, confused and frustrated
I had the sleeve in April 2016....my weight does not melt off....I was told to eat a min of 60 g of protein a day....I can't see how cutting your protein down is going to help....maybe eating to many carbs? But I am a newbie and was told to eat protein first.

Band or Sleeve? So confused :(
My surgeon as well didn't recommend the band, as the results were not as good as the sleeve and more complications.....in and out of surgery etc.....once I seen the band and the fact of the sheer size I knew I was getting the sleeve....but made me even more convinced once my surgeon told me he did not recommend it.
