  5. Its taking me awhile. Im on day 6 and bloaty and gassy. Im goin to reach at least 50 oz today finally. Its taking me 4 hours to finish a 16.9oz bottle of water.
  6. I am on my 6th day and still have soooo much gas pain even with the Gas X strips. I finally slept some last night though to hopefull its improving. I go for my first post op appointment tomorrow.

  8. I know that theres some differences depending on the doctor that everyone has, but I had some questions about Stage 1. Mine is a week of clear liquids. 2 oz of things that aren't water every 2 hours as meals and water in between. How long am I supposed to take for each meal? Do in need to follow the 30 minute rule or no because its all liquid? I know the main thing is to get the 64 ounces of water a day. Am i supposed to to the meal part until I feel full and stop? Does that also go for the water? I have been taking 2-3 minutes between sips of water. Sorry if I seem so confused. I thought I had it down but it seems different from when I left the hospital than what was in my final pre-op class. Thanks for any help with this.
  9. I have the Gas X strips now and also Prilosec OTC. Thanks! I still had a horrible bout of gas this afternoon. I know that yesterday and today I tried the sugar free pop sickles for the first time. Im wondering if it is them that caused it to come so terribly.
  10. Ok i know i posted a topic about nausea and gas but now its on to gas and acid relfux. I am only on day 4 after surgey and my stomach has a LOT of adjusting to do. But I am having what I believe is really bad acid reflux with some gas. I did really good supping today waiting 2 to 3 minutes between and I have been walking a lot which has helped some. I sit back down and after a couple minutes burping starts. Should I call the doctor for possible otc options or is it just to early since surgery? Sorry to kind of repeat a topic. Im up late due to this and cant stop thinking about it.
  11. Thanks! Im trying my best to get rid of this gas which should help the nausa amd the pressure on my incision. I did walk twice so far today. Didnt really sleep last night but going to try to now.
  12. Thanks you guys are making me feel better. I do have oxycodone for paim and a pill for nausea. Some of the gas is starting to come out the other end which i think is a good sign.
  13. Well I am home now and the doctor said everything went great. I am having a lot of nausea and gas though and one of the incisions hurts a lot. Of ourse the first thing I was thinking was why did I do this. I know though its just the pain and frustration talking. Trying to walk as much as possible.
  14. I was sleeved yesterday. I am home now buy have such gas pain and nausea. One of the incisions is painful too. Is this normal? I know it prob is but wanted to ask.
  15. Just had my surgery yesterday. I am home but have bad gas pains and nausea Amd pain in one incision. They said at the hospital that its normal but Im just double checking with people on here. Thanks
  16. I go today at 9am for my surgery. I am nervous but ok. My nerves are kind of making my stomach go crazy but hopefully that doesn't affect anything.
  17. Im Friday the 30th, ready but a little nervous.
  18. So I went today for my final pre-op appointment. Everything is looking good and down 16lbs from 2 weeks of protein shakes and healthy choice dinners. My surgeon didn't mention, and I forgot to ask, about the day before surgery. Is it supposed to be all liquids? Also, I was going to go out tomorrow night for dinner to Texas Roadhouse. Nothing really crazy, just the smallest steak they have and some veggies and mashed potatoes. Would that be acceptable. No bread, fries, nothing like that and not drinks of course. Any input is welcome.
  19. I log in on here through my facebook. How do I log in through the Android app? I never did a password because its through facebook.
  20. 'm hoping I'll be in the clear. My doctor does his surgeries on Mondays and Fridays. I am in Cumberland County and it's not too bad so far. They did call to let me know that tomorrow morning last pre-op appointment is pending on the weather. They did say they will make sure to get me in if that does happen. Hopefully im in the clear.
  21. I just started taking the calcium chews by them. The caramel ones tastes exactly like a regular caramel chew and are great. Haven't tried anything else by them though.
  22. I have my surgery this upcoming Friday however my final pre-op appointment is Tuesday morning at 8:45am. Im hoping the appointment isn't canceled if we get what they are calling for. I am also in Jersey.
  23. Thanks for the input. I caved in to QVC and I ordered one today lol I think I was just looking for a reason to get one lol. I do believe I will use it a lot through for a lot of different things. We will see.
  24. I was debating on getting a Vitamix Blender as you can make plenty of smoothies and soups in it. Does anyone have one? Has it helped out at all after having surgery or hasn't really made a difference? Thanks for any input.
