I FINALLY got the call from the hospital with my time~ 6AM so I have to leave my house at 4:15AM to get to the hospital. I'm now officially freaking out. I'm so emotional I cry like over everything. I'm a Girl Scout leader and tonight at our meeting the girls were hugging me telling me that they will keep me in their prayers and I was literally fighting the tears.

Thanks Samantha!!! I just finished all my pre admission testing today and was so happy that I got to meet the director of nursing of the hospital where I am having my surgery. She had the sleeve 8 months ago by my doctor and was telling me about her experience. I'm excited-scared-nervous!!!

Is KILLING me! I'm starving. After having a stomach bug Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and puking my guys out and not eating I am STARVING today. Jello and chicken broth is not cutting it ????

My surgery is 1 week from today and I a SO sick. Vomiting, diarrhea, dehydrated and most likely going to the ER bc I can't even keep a sip of water down. I go Wednesday for my pre admission testing so I am praying this is over by then so they don't postpone my surgery. ????

I'm so glad to see you all here! I have 3 children and I'm trying to prepare everything for the 3 days I will be in the hospital and the rest of the week so I can rest. I went to target today to get travel size hygiene products and gas X strips. I got a 7 day pill holder so that I won't forget to take anything this coming week. I'm starting to get really nervous.

How's it going with the pre op diet? I start mine tomorrow

April 20th here and I start my pre op liquid diet tomorrow. Today has been a horrible day for me: sick, headache and kids driving me nuts! Hoping tomorrow is better!

Has anyone had the multi vitamin and or calcium they make?

Thank you, both the eye surgeon and my sleeve surgeon said it will be ok I'm just nervous. With Lasik the cut and with PRK they don't cut so there is less risk for infection or screw up. I had a horrible astigmatism so PRK corrects that and Lasik doesn't so the obvious choice for me was PRK. It's more costly and takes longer to heal but the pros out weight the cons!

Has anyone had PRK eye surgery ( similar to Lasik ) I had it recently and I am worried bc I know when I have the sleeve on the 20th of April they will tape my eyes closed. I won't even be 1 month out from eye surgery and I'm super worried they will mess my eyes up. Anyone else have PRK right before sleeve surgery?

I am having my surgery April 20th God Willing. The only person that knows is my mother. My husband will not be supportive of it. When someone in our community got it done there was a lot of negative talk about her so I plan on keeping it to myself. This is something I am doing for myself, I need to work on ME and my health and life so I don't feel bad at all for not telling anyone except my mother!

How long was it before you were able to get a good work out in? After my gallbladder surgery I had to wait 4 weeks to get a good workout in and after both of my c sections it was about 8 weeks (bc both were horrible emergency c sections) so I'm just wondering the time frame.

Mine was changed from April 27th to April 20th!!!

Apparently Alora VSG didn't like me/my facebook page because I sent request, it was accepted, I wasn't added to the group, and she deleted me from friends list! Very mature! Anyways it would be nice if we could all be active in the April 2015 group here!!! This way there is no dictator and we can all get the support and encouragement that we came to BP for!

My surgeons office called this morning and wanted to change my date from April 27th to April 20th!!! So I will be starting my pre op liquid diet April 10th!!! Hard to believe it's so close

I don't start my Pre Op liquid diet until April 17th. I am muslim and am use to fast from sunrise to sunset every year for 30 days for Ramadan. So I am making the intention of fasting during these 10 days. I will break my fast with Water and Protein shake and broth. I will try to get in all my water before I go to sleep and when I wake up before sunrise to drink a Protein Shake before fasting begins. I am really looking at this as a time to make the changes mentally, pray, reflect, and to cleanse my body before surgery.

My surgery date is April 20th God willing and I go for pre op testing April 16th and start my liquid Diet April 10th. I kind of feel like it isn't real. I have been thinking about getting the sleeve for about a year, I went in December for my consult and finished everything March 18th.
