Thanks, I really love my surgeon and her whole staff here so I'm very sad that I'm leaving but I'm hopeful that I will find someone just as good!

Toledo, Ohio Area
Hello, I was sleeved on 4/20/15. I am currently in the process of moving a little south of Toledo and looking for a good surgeon to do my follow ups with. Preferably a woman!

Drinking Diet Soda
I poured my son son ginger ale and he had set my cup near mine and I mistook his cup for my crystal light flavored water. I took a sip and it killed me ALL night. I will not be having any carbonated drink again. I had horrible pains in my stomach.

Has anyone had a sleeve *and* a c-section in their life?
I have had 2 emergency C sections. The first being put totally asleep. I was worried how the sleeve would compare. When I woke up I wasn't in pain but I was uncomfortable. I pushed the button for the pain medicine 3/4 times that day and during that night. I also was up 2 hours after my surgery walking around the unit. The next morning I didn't have pain but I was super sore. The soreness lasted for about 3.5 weeks for me. Tomorrow will mark 6 weeks for me and I am pretty much back to normal, I just can't sleep on my left side.

Rewards!?!
My first weight goal is to be in "onederland" I have 28 more pounds to go! I have always rewarded myself with food (going to certain restaurants or getting my fav dessert from a local bakery) now I can't do that so I am think of new rewards. Just wanted to hear from my Sleeve Family on what they have gotten/done as a reward for meeting goals!

Itching all over body
I have had itching also. I am lathering myself in lotion hoping that will help but it hasn't. It's not all day and in certain areas only.

1 month post op
It takes me about an hour to drink 8oz of water. I sip sip wait sip sip wait. It's gotten better before I was barely getting 20 oz in a day.

Constipation
I also stalled from week 3 to 4. And I had a er visit where they pumped me full of IV and I gained 4lbs overnight. My doctor told me don't worry about it to just focus on getting enough liquid and it will pass!

1 month post op
I'm eating baked or grilled chicken, eggs, yogurt, cheese stick, oatmeal, I tried cooked broccoli and green beans and both were ok. I'm just really nervous to try more/different things. I had horrible horrible heartburn and my sleeve was just so grumpy and I had 1 salt less cracker and omg that was a mistake. I just feel like when I see/hear others they are just eating much more. I also can only take about 2-3 baby spoon bites and have to wait a good 20 mins to eat more. My mother made me a grilled chicken cutlet and I was determined to eat the whole thing even if it took me all day and it really did. I haven't been meeting my protein or liquid goals and I had to stop with the protein shakes bc they bothered my kidneys and I ended up in the er in horrible pain. So now I'm just really looking for ideas of foods I can make and will sit well. This weekend I am going to start weekly preps so hoping that helps.

April 20th buddy
I went to the doctor. She told me I have to get more liquid in. I have lost 20 lbs since surgery!!! (My boobs are gone ????) I felt pretty good today! Wasn't exhausted or dizzy so I can't wait for the soft food stage so hopefully that will make me feel back to normal. I don't have an appetite but I'm so sick of liquids and I'm not a fan of the pureed stuff.

Moms/Dads? Tips on recovery with young kids?
Hello, I am 11 days post op. I have 3 kids - 7years, 4years, and 2years. I was sleeved on a Monday and came home Wednesday. My husband took that whole week off. My mom helped in the evenings. The biggest thing was/is potty time for the 2 year old. I can't pick him up still. I was able to do light house work by 1 week. I'm still not doing bath time. We have had a lot of movie time and coloring time. Stuff that they can sit and do. I've taken them to the park a couple times since the weather was so nice. The older 2 are good at playing and staying where I tell them and I followed the 2 year old around. The first time we only stayed 1 hour bc I was becoming tired. The second time a little over 2. Slow and steady and before you know it you will be back to normal!!!

April 20th buddy
I got to go to pureed foods today!!! I'm still a little bit sore. I'm only getting about 30oz of liquid in so that's my main focus. I have lost 30lbs since starting pre op liquid diet of that 20lbs from surgery. I'm actually very exhausted and hoping that now I can have more options of things to eat that will give me some energy.

Any April Sleevers?
I am so exhausted also. I am 10 days post op and the littlest activity and I'm exhausted. I can't wait to be on the pureed stage, hoping that will help get more calories in and make me feel better.

Sleep
My pain is ok I haven't taken anything since being home this afternoon because taking the pills/liquid makes me sick.

Sleep
How long was it before you could sleep in bed comfortable? I am 2 days post op and first night home, seems like I will be in the recliner tonight bc the bed hurts me too much.
