    Looking for shakes

I have found extract right at the grocery store in baking aisle. Also bulk barn too.

    Soft foods

    Omelettes with steamed veggies ?
  3. I'm in the same boat. Left shoulder, neck and side are killing me. Like a sharp pain when you move a certain way. I have a heating pad which seems to help and moving around every little while. I'm 1 day post op.
  4. Hey everyone, I'm 5 days into my pre op and am finding it hard to come up with ideas. I'm restricted to 3 shakes a day plus 250 calories of low glycemic vegetables. I find myself making a lot of salads. I made cauliflower rice yesterday and that helped but I need some new ideas. Any one have any suggestions ? Thanks !

    Looking for shakes

Mint extract to the chocolate shake. Then freeze it and let it thaw in the fridge.

    Pre-op diet started today 1/1/15

I'm on day three and already trying to find recipe ideas for the 250 calories of low GI veggies a day. Anyone have any favourite recipes they would like to share?
  8. Thanks Bkckick88. Yes I agree. I don't want to hear negative opinions so best to just avoid it all together. Congrats on post op ! How are you finding recovery ?
  9. Hello everyone, I begin my pre-op diet on Monday for my surgery on January 19th. I'm getting nervous, mainly because I don't know how to ask for the time off from work. My work is very accommodating but I am keeping this a secret from them. Can anyone give me advice on how they dealt with this / reasons they asked for time off? Thanks !

    Calgary People?

Hello everyone ! I am due to be banded in Jan 2015. I am from Calgary and was wondering if there had been a Calgary "group" started? Cheers!

    Any Canadians? Ontario?

Anyone from Calgary, AB? I'm due to be banded January 2015 ahhh!

    Anyone else self pay?

I'm in the exact same boat. Self paid , but healthcare would cover Partial amounts on a three year wait list with various requirements. I wanted it now while I feel motivated and excited. It will be worth it. I considered the money that would be saved on groceries / eating out/ etc. Way to go

My nerves and the Last Supper.

Just think this is a huge step towards the new and healthy you. I haven't had my op yet so I can't tell you how I've dealt with the nerves but look at the nerves as bubbles of excitement ! Way to go!
  15. It seems the general consensus is at least a week? I'm due to be banded in January and trying to decide how long to take off. I do have a really relaxed office job , not a lot of moving or lifting. Is the week just to be safe or did people feel like they needed the full week?
