  6. Hey guys I'm new here..I was approved for the gastric bypass and on Wed I go and get my surgery date..I am so excited..I have had the lap band since 2010 and it has been horrible and I am the same size I was before the surgery. If anyone can give me any insight on the pain factor of the surgery I would really appreciate it that is the only thing that i am nervous about.

I an one year out this month. I don't remember a whole lot of pain at the surgery site. They give you pain meds that work pretty well. The actual pain comes from the gas that they use. And you can relieve that a lot by walking-alot! Good luck. If you did it before you can do it again.

Some people just get jealous. Especially if they are overweight. Just remember that you are now healthier and thinner than them, so they can't handle that. Continued success, and ignore the rude remarks. Or be rude back!

Try biotin, it's for hair, skin, and nails. Worked for me. Get the sublingual tablet in 1000 mg. Orange flavor, tastes great. Any health store should carry it. Also, get in the required amount of protein. That's hard to do, but very important.
