  1. The diarrhea should be subsiding by tomorrow or the next day. It will be no time until your surgery day. Good luck ????
  2. Thanks for sharing. Sounds like you did quite well. My surgery is to tomorrow morning. Needless to say, my nerves are on overdrive. Keep us updated !!
  3. It is definitely one day at a time ... It's almost over !!!
  4. Good luck everyone !! Let's update each other on this thread as soon as we are able ????
  5. I am feeling all the normal emotions I should be experiencing today. I have done really well on my liquid pre-op, I have done all that I was asked and I have researched for over a year. I am a rule follower and I hope that helps me with my post op... Keep me in your thoughts and prayers please. I will update as soon as I am able. Good luck to the rest of the 8/17 sleevers !!!!! So excited to start our new journey ????
  6. Thanks KathyRS ???? I only have two days left until my surgery. I took one day at a time and it seemed to get me thru. Wishing you lots of luck !!
  7. @@leeleebaby2287 You look amazing !! Keep up the good work girl !!
  8. @@TXTinana Your not in the hospital for 5 days are you ?
  9. @@TXTinana My daughter was doing all the cooking but she is away this week. My husband is good at calling up and ordering take out LOL
  10. @@TXTinana It happens. I am sure you will get back on track !! Only a few more days. I have been cleaning and organizing every square inch of my house. I stocked the fridge and freezer for my hubby and the kids for my two week pre-op. This weekend I plan to restock the fridge and freezer for my post op and get my laundry all caught up and my house tip top. I plan on keeping super busy.
  11. @@jane13 Thank you !! I needed that ;o)
  12. I am afraid of dying first and foremost and leaving my kids without a mother. I am worried that I may have too much scar tissue to proceed, or my liver was still enlarged and in the way (even though I have been so diligent with my liquid diet) I am worried that I will have a heart attack, stroke or a blood clot. Can you tell I am a worry wort ? SIGH ... And I almost forgot to add, having complications. Especially because I am self pay and I don't want to bankrupt my family.
  13. @@TXTinana We are almost to the finish line ...5 more days. How have you managed on the liquid diet week 2 ?
  14. @@TXTinana I felt exactly the same way over the weekend. I even gave my husband the " If something happens to me" speech ... Ugh ... We are almost there !!
  15. That is so awesome !! Congrats !! I get sleeved next Monday the 17th. I'm so excited/nervous. Any good advice you can give ?
  16. I had one idiot former acquaintance who made me feel so crappy about my weight. We have a mutual friend who is very ill and is extremely thin due to her illness and she related the two of us both "grossing her out" I apparently gross her out because I am very overweight, and the other woman grosses her out because she was very underweight. I have to admit, I can't wait to see her reaction when I start loosing ... BTW, she is far from thin or attractive so she should keep her rude opinions to herself.
  17. Well I did it !! I made it through my liquid diet the first week !! I have one more week to go. I haven't cheated once ! I have been pretty good hormonally also. I do have headaches and man oh man am I hungry. I just cannot tolerate the soups and bars. They make me want to vomit. I sure hope this week goes FAST !!! Wish me luck !!
  18. I am on my 6th day of the liquid diet. I cannot tolerate the optifast soups and bars. They make me want to vomit. I have been doing 5 optifast shakes, broths, SF jello and SF Popsicles. I'm hungry but managing better than I ever imagined. I wish you luck and I know it's hard and it's so awesome to have so much support with this forum ????
  19. You go girl !! ????????????????????????
  20. I am on day 5 and I am hanging in there. I have kept myself so busy and I am taking one day at a time and it seems to be working out OK. I had headaches the first few days and I cried the very first day to my husband. He just reminded me of how hard I have worked and how bad I want to make this life change. I have to get thru this weekend though ... I have increased my activity levels as well. My surgeon suggested I get more activity in these next two weeks because it may help with my recovery. Good Luck everyone !!! We have got this !!!!!
  21. I am also the 17th !! I am excited, nervous, anxious all wrapped up in one.
  22. I am in the same boat @BrownEyedTxGirl. All surgeons have different pre op rules I suppose. I have read some pre op patients have lean meat or fish also ... I am jealous lol
  23. Hey guys, just wondering what your experiences was post op with this practice ? So far, the process has been smooth and pleasant and the staff at each facility is awesome. I was hoping to get some feedback on your hospital stay, etc ... Thanks
