No real advice except just do it...you have to get in protein.

I know all programs are different but mine allows chicken and veggies also....I don't understand why everyone is saying they can drink just liquids for 14 days prior. My date is Aug 24th so Monday I start ...yes shake for bfast but a chicken breast and carrots will be lunch and maybe dinner. Switch it up and it's a normal 800 calorie diet.

My surgeon doesn't require a pre op diet but I'm going to stop my sodas and watch what I eat from now until my surgery. The soda is going to be the hardest thing to kick. I love my coke!

I am on my 6th day of the liquid diet. I cannot tolerate the optifast soups and bars. They make me want to vomit. I have been doing 5 optifast shakes, broths, SF jello and SF Popsicles. I'm hungry but managing better than I ever imagined. I wish you luck and I know it's hard and it's so awesome to have so much support with this forum ????

Today I had a visit with my nutritionist and I'm down 11 pounds I'm so excited my motivation to continue moving forward the next 8 days

I am on day two of the pre op liquid diet. My Dr. Says i can have a salad with chicken or fish on it for lunch or dinner and protein shakes and water the rest of the day. I can add sugar free jello and broth as needed. So far it isn't too bad. I think i am more mentally hungry lol i drink premier protein, boost, and breakfast essentials shakes. They are all pretty tasty :) good luck everyone!!

that's awesome keep moving forward I can't have anything only water protein shakes and small side salad

Its is so weird to see soo many different doctors have different methods to this surgery. Im sure they all have there reasons and there is no ONE correct way. As long as we all do well and have successful surgeries and healthier lifestyles for longer life.. Good Luck to all.

I love coke too!! But I had to let it go! I also stopped drinking coffee. Maybe my surgeon will put me on a pre-op diet when I see him on the 18th.
