Amy, you are not alone, I think we all have some or all of those feelings. I don't think you will lose who you are because you are more than your outter skin. Yes you may feel grumpy but who doesn't sometimes? Take it one day at a time. You made an important decision to live a longer and healthier lifestyle and I think that's what's most important! Your family needs you! ????

Not to minimize anyone fears but I feel you all will be fine! We have come a long way! Yes we will be judge but guess what? We will look good while others are judging us! We will be able to enjoy our families! I worry about my husband not loving me the same because he LOVES curves, but the truth of the matter is I need this for me! You need this surgery for you! Meet you on the weight loss bench! ????

I'm afraid of forgetting to stay hydrated. My NUT says I will probably need to place alarms to remind me to drink. Ugggg!!

I love coke too!! But I had to let it go! I also stopped drinking coffee. Maybe my surgeon will put me on a pre-op diet when I see him on the 18th.

I'm having surgery on the 20th but I haven't been placed on a liquid diet just yet. I see the surgeon on the 18th.

I have BMI of 38.8 and was approved. I have hypertension and arthritis which approved me.

You will be placed under anesthesia.

I started a file for myself on the process. I received a packet that included all the requirements before requesting an approval. I asked my surgeon why am I waiting and he said majority of the insurance companies want to see if the patient went through all the steps. I called my insurance company and asked questions for myself. They confirmed what the surgeon told me plus which procedure they would approve for me. Don't be afraid to ask questions!

My final straw was hearing the last person say "you have such a pretty face"! Really! Not being able to walk without running out of breath.

Looking forward to seeing parts of me that I haven't seen in a while. Lol
