  1. I made a great dish in the crockpot last week. 1 large onion 2 bell peppers 2 -4 chicken breasts 1 pkt low sodium taco seasoning Cook 6-8 hours and then purée yours and it is delicious. The chicken is extra moist from being in the crockpot. I made a side of refried beans so I had about a tbsp of each with a little sprinkle of LF cheese. My hubby and kids ate theirs with tortillas and all the fixings. I had left overs for lunch at work for a few days too.
  2. We have such a similar user name !! LOL ????
  3. I also feel full in my throat/esophagus area first and then my sleeve feels "full". I am 5 weeks post op and I are 3/4 of scrambled egg and was "full" and satisfied. I have 1 more week of pureed and then onto soft foods
  4. Fish and seafood are easier on my sleeve than chicken/poultry. I think because it's so soft ... If I do have chicken, I cook it in the crockpot and it purees well.
  5. Right there with ya !! I use Miralax and it works for me ????????
  6. I use PatchMD vitamin patches. I am really happy them so far. I have my 2 month blood work checkup mid October so I am really hoping they are doing their job !!
  7. I am glad it's gone ????????????????????????
  8. I'm at a stall too ... It makes me a little upset but I know it is to be expected ????
  9. I didn't chew it well at all. But thankfully, I had no issues whatsoever ???????? ????????????Haha I don't even remember if it was delicious because I panicked ! I bet it was though lol
  10. I have one. The kids menu is typically filled with food I would not chose so I'll most likely never use it. I haven't eaten out at all since my surgery 8/17. I'm still on pureeds lol
  11. I know that is why I panicked lol I just lost myself for a minute ... Thank goodness it wasn't acookie or brownie sitting there ... haha
  12. While at work today, I was having a somewhat heated conversation with my husband over an issue with our business partner. I really wasn't focused on eating or food at all but all the sudden, I picked up a strawberry and chewed it like the old days and swallowed it. Needless to say, it was neither pureed nor mashed. OMG I totally panickedmy poor husband was reassuring me it wasn't a cheeseburger just a little piece of strawberry. So far, I feel ok ??? I totally got lost in the moment ...
  13. That's awesome !! Isn't is just great ?
  14. Yes, but I did a week later. I returned to work a week earlier also. I was the model patient other than that LOL
  15. Congrats !! I have only been nauseous once and it happened to be yesterday ... It was awful ???? I hope it goes away for you !! How are things going for you ? ????
  16. I was able to manage about 8oz of protein shake in that amount of time as well. Now pureed foods ... Whew !! A few bites and I'm done !!
  17. Thanks !! Someone else in the forum said the same thing. I will Wait and see how my blood work comes back. ????
  18. Time sure does fly !! I had my sleeve 4 weeks ago today. I was lucky that my recovery was quick and painless. The hardest part so far, is getting all my fluids & protein in. I am getting there though. I just don't feel like eating so I do two protein shakes per day and a few small 3oz drinkable yogurts. I manage a few bites at lunch anda few bites at dinner (all protein, of course) I have a food and fluid journal. I also track my BP daily since mam on meds for High BP. I am happy with the amount of weight I have lost and so happy I made this life changing decision. Wishing everyone well !!
  19. @@atontor I am using PATCHMD as well. Have you had any blood work done since your started using the patches ? I have been using the patches for about 2 weeks or so and I have blood work done next month.I sure hope they are working and I don't need to resume taking and chewing vitamins all day ...
  20. My stages were 3 days post op clear liquids, and then full liquids for 2 weeks, puréed for 4 weeks, soft foods for 4 weeks and then advance to normal diet. I am beginning my 3rd week of puréed. It goes so fast !! I can't believe I'll be sleeved a month on Thursday. ☺️
