  1. I made it i did finally get on the treadmill and after that I watched TV and used my one of those bicycles that your can sit in your lap and work your arms a bit. It did help me take my mind off of it.
  2. I had a near impaction, I don't know if it collected for a whole week or what but I suggest Miralax.
  3. @@SandyM just one so far
  4. Seems all I want to do is eat today, I've done real well as far as eating Protein today, and the types of food I'm eating but, I sat down to some grilled chicken and was dipping in light ranch dressing, and when the chicken was gone I honestly wanted to cry, because I wanted more I could have eaten more, but I had 2 servings, It's head hunger really I don't feel physically hungry any way I've had a Protein Bar since then but I don't know what's wrong with me today.
  5. The shoulder pain surprised me a bit but I didn't find post off all that painful, congrats and good luck.
  6. @@pink dahlia LOL I'll keep that in mind.
  7. I wonder how many of us test the band after the mushy stage, I didn't drink alchohol or go too far overboard but I did let myself enjoy a family gathering on the 13th, but I'm back on the wagon now. Try not to eat so much it makes you throw up, my Dr. said it can cause a slip in the newly banded.
  8. I got mine the 18th I'm not there yet either mine does them every 2 weeks but I have to wait 3 because of New Years.
  9. Honestly, I wish I could have done it when I was on the lower end of the BMI chart and got a handle on it before it got a handle on me. Good Luck.
  10. @@gowalking when I started this I could barely walk across the floor, and even had to stay home a week alone cause my whole family went to NY without me kids and all and I couldn't go because I knew there would be too much walking for me to handle, Next time I'll be ready.
  11. @@Kitt3000 Thank you Kit that probably was the problem, @@Leepers he is a good Dr. and I'm going to give him a pass he is only 13 miles from me so I'd hate to have to drive further, Kitt it was also the sugar he basically wants me on Atkins type diet and I knew he wanted me on high Protein but thought it was mainly about portion control, I am going to try from here on out to refrain from any sugar until my habits are better established. The problem for me really was the yelling, but everyone that goes there says he is pretty caring, I even have his cell number and can call him personally he's even met people places whose called him and told them they were feeling like binging. I was just frustrated, when I wrote this, not just at him but also myself.
  12. @@gowalking I was looking at your stats your on the short side like me I'm 4'10 and 3/4 in I'm glad you post them shows it can be accomplished.
  13. Love this, maybe if I'd read this before going to that family gathering I wouldn't have had the chex mix but I am going to a wedding Jan 31st I'll keep this in the back of my mind.
  14. I find it how interesting Different Drs are after a week I was allowed mushy and believe it or not I'm so tired of yogurt and cottage cheese but it tasted like heaven when I 1st got to eat it, It's best to do what your Dr. wants in this phase they have their reasons even if we don't understand them.
  15. This helped me lose a lot of weight until I went off of it, I went from 160 to 130, and gained back up to 190 in less than 6 months I have always felt taking phentermine did me more harm than good.
  16. @@gowalking he is a very highly sought after recommended Dr. and believe me I did bite back a little, I had heard before that sometimes he gets little rough with people, he has had the band himself, he did not apologize but he did try to get on my good side before I left asking me where I lived and telling me he drove by there all the time. He did back down a bit when I told him he sounded like my Mother and I only needed one of those, I can see where he is coming from people have surgery and return to old habits and I probably am not safe yet, but I can't say the experience didn't bother me either.
  17. This isn't easy to write I hate critisicm, I hate it a lot I get enought of it from my Mother, Yesterday I got my 1st fill not even sure how much but I do know I was able to eat quite a bit for lunch with no restriction so I know it wasn't enough, anyhow. My Dr. asked me what I was eating, what I want kept in mind is for 6 mos I lost 62 pounds before I was banded then I had to do the 4 week liquid diet, followed by 1 week of liquid, 2 weeks mushy, I was invited up to a family get together the day after my mushy phase was over I am down 82lbs, I decide to take a day off, my band at the time of the party is loose with no restriction so I eat healthy but decide to have some muddy buddy chex mix, I made the mistake of mentioning this to my Dr. I was read the riot act, about being a month out of surgery and eating something like that. He is right it was a poor choice, but he yelled at me so bad that his whole staff can hear it, the receptionist even asked me about it. Now I am struggling with feelings of if I can't have a little wiggle room every so often like special occasions and I'm not talking binge eating here, is this something I can even do? Feeling Frustrated.
  18. write down all the reasons you wanted to have lapband surgery all of them even the ones that involve making people jealous lol, also maybe trying to put Protein 1st before you eat anything not band friendly might curb the cravings, but I know head hunger can be strong sometimes. Hang in there.
  19. I am sorry. I stopped telling people after a few I told wanted to tell me horror stories or talk me out of it, then I just quit talking about it after surgery. Even if your friends lose a bunch of weight trying to prove something to you, a lot of people can't keep it off like you can with the surgery and maybe after they gain theirs back, they will opt for surgery too, so your a good friend because in the end you may make your friends healthier.
  20. @@BLERDgirl She really isn't that old she is around my Mother's age, what she is though is very well off.
  21. I thought of this thread today at church a lady a well, meaning lady asked me how much more I had to lose, I told her, and then she said well, when you get there I want to give you some money to buy new clothes, very generous but I felt so awkward, I don't know if I know this lady well enough to take money from her, and not only that I have 116 lbs to lose I'm sure I might need clothes between now and then and am I just supposed to go up to her when I reach 125 and say hey where's my money ? LOL don't get me wrong I do believe she meant well I just didn't know how to react, I said thank you that would be nice but I"m not holding my breathe.
  22. I used to be hot natured when I was a normal weight. I don't know now if it's the weight loss or what but even my skin seems thinner somehow and my feet are also always cold, and I have over 100lbs yet to lose.
  23. I will keep you in my thoughts and keep us posted, try to stay positive and try not to stress.
