    Pre-Op Diet

Wow, Day 12. No Cheats! It's getting hard. Never thought I would make it this far. If I can do this, I can be successful post surgery. I feel good though. Amazing what a good cleanse can do for you.

Check in: Week of Nov 17th Sleevers!

Lost 12 so far. 1st 3 days were rough. After 7 I feel great. Had a dream that I cheated last night. Ha. Just a dream.
  4. You can do it . 1st 3 days are hardest. Now, on 8th fay, i feel great. Make sure you drink your protein. I eat sugar free Popsicles and jello. Lots of clear broth. Sometimes i add some Frank's Red Hot to chicken broth. Like drinking chicken wings.

    Day 7 of pre-op

It is tough... I figure thisbis also a test. 2 weeks is enough to get me past sugar and caffeine. So I won't have to deal with that after as much. @@pheonix don't psych yourself out too much. I've had a few emotional moments. I'm praying alot too. We are looking to change our lives. Not just drop some weight.

    Day 7 of pre-op

I have made it to day 7 of my pre-op diet. If i can do this anyone can. I didn't think I would make it past the first day. I actually feel pretty good. Lots of energy. Not sleeping super well. First 3 days were hard. Now not so bad. How is everyone else doing?

    Pre-Op Diet

@@jenbaby75, Ha, pickle juice. At this point, I'll try anything.
  8. I'm on day 3 of my clear liquid diet. Honestly, I didn't think I would make it past the first day. Feeling pretty good about that. I am super dizzy today. I couldn't sleep last night due to a major migrane. Then I got super hungry about midnight. I didn't eat. I just laid there in bed until I eventually fell into a restless sleep. I understand the reasoning behind this diet. But, I have to function at work. Any suggestions?

    Starting pre-op Liquid Diet

@@MrsMike1, I don't like the chicken broth either. But it was kindof satisfying at lunch. @@JackieBrown the 11th will be here before you know it. I think we all are excited about a new life. @@haleytrim, I'm doing fine. At work it is easy to focus on other things. Don't feel super hungry. How are you? I need to print out a calendar so I can cross out days.

    Starting pre-op Liquid Diet

@@Elode, good luck to you! How exciting. Thank you so much for your advice. @@haleytrim and @@bobbyswife, Today, I am actually doing very well. I didn't realize how saturated I have felt for the last few weeks. So, cleansing on liquids will be very good for me. We can do this. So glad that others have the same feelings as me.

  12. Hi all, I have been looking for a way to start shareing my journey. I am scheduled for the sleeve on November 17th. I start my liquid pre-op diet tomorrow. I am nervous and scared. Not about going through the procedure. I am nervous that I won't be successful. over the past 10 years, have been on several diets, worked with 5 different private trainers, tried several different styles of workouts. I work hard, I eat well, but the weight just doesn't come off. After getting injured at crossfit last spring and getting shoulder surgurey, I decided that I needed some extra help. I know a few folks who have been successful with the sleeve. I am just nervous. However, I am excited to start seeing some results. That is always the hard part after 6 months or more of a progam to get on the scale and not see results. It is so discouraging. I won't say that my trainers gave up on me. However, I got tired of that look in their eye, like I wasn't working hard enough. So, here I go. I am 44, 6'2" and 312 lbs. Any tips on the pre-op diet? I have a feeling, I may be pretty grumpy for a while.
