  1. That's crazy!! I would say sure I'm drinking them.... And drink the ones I can stomach!
  2. That's really early! I'm not so nervous now!
  3. They lumped my soft foods and purée together ????
  4. I am still new to the forum, I was sleeves on the 23rd of Oct. just curious at the variations in what the surgeons order for liquid phases. My phase 1 was Clear liquids. Started this just a few hours after surgery. For only 24 hours. Phase 2 cream liquids. Only for 10-14 days depending toleration. Phase 3 soft foods/purée 10-14 days depending toleration Phase 4 regular food. This is all less than a month before I was told I would be back to normal foods. Is that too soon? I see people much longer. Also I'm very lucky to have had no problems in tolerating, except for Protein pudding which did hurt my belly at 4 days post op.
  5. I didn't take any pain meds either. Mine was all back to normal within a week. Good luck dear!
  6. Oh no!!! I would certainly not give up!!
  7. My whole process start to finish only took 2.5 months.
  8. I'm surprised to see so much bread in these meal plans. I was told to avoid it completely until my goal weight has been reached. But I'm just a couple weeks post surgery. So I can't help much as I'm just starting soft foods. I hope to follow this for help later. Also I see a lot of lower weights than others. That will definitely make a difference in ur number lost.
  9. I'm sorry to scare u. But my surgeon said if u cheat make sure u still come with a completely empty stomach. Drink lots of water. Hope it flushes out. Good luck dear! Be sure to update us!
  10. The last day is the most crucial. Please make sure ur surgeon at least knows u ate. If u have food in your stomach it could be very dangerous. :/
  11. I've been allowed to have yogurt since 3 days out! I'm so surprised at some of these restrictions. I have done well to follow rules, but I can't imagine if I was on clear liquid that long ????
  12. Also u shouldn't be too concerned with Sodium intake at 7 days post op. Dehydration is still a very serious risk. It's good to retain a little water. Especially when it's soooo hard getting ur whole recommended intake ! Good luck to u!!
  13. I am 11 days post op. I would certainly not try pizza... But I have had some soup with veggies in it. Even had chili that was minced and very thin. I have had zero issues with it. I never eat more than 1/4 cup of anything. I'm supposed to start soft foods Thursday. But have are broccoli soup and veggie soup for about 3 days now. Everyone's wait times vary per surgeon. I told my case manager what I was eating when she called... She asked me if I was a nurse. Lol I said yes, she said she could tell. We really are the worst patients ????
  14. Mine has done that for years after shower and brush. So not sure I will notice. I have mounds of hair though. I hope it's enough to maintain.
  15. 2 pounds could be your female cycle! That's absurd!
  16. Can u not appeal? I am fortunate that mine didn't require the weight loss. Bit I would say there is always an appeal process. DONT GIVE UP.
  17. I think it's more about getting you to come in more often to pay more money! I had 2 appointments that were just silly. But I had to pay 200 a whack!
  18. I went in at 275. I am only 4'11 though. So I think that also makes a difference. I am only 11 days post op and down to 253. After only 19 days of diet then surgery till now I am ok with those numbers! My BMI was like 53 or something crazy like that! So I think I will drop more pounds quickly. You are also doing great and I'm very excited for you!! Congrats!
  19. Wow I only got 1 lovenox shot and didn't bruise at all. I had one small bruise around one of my incisions. Maybe u get more based on risk factors? I also got clear liquids the same eve as my surgery. Thank goodness I was starved. Started creams the next day. So far so good. Only thing that has hurt my belly is some protein pudding I made. I think it was too dense too soon. I will try it again today or tomorrow. I go to puréed foods on Thursday. Can't wait!
  20. It's funny, I have 3 kids. None are over weight. I have been teaching them healthy choices for years, but when it comes to me I didn't take care of myself! I was never heavy as a child though. It all happened after kids. Lol I have yo-yo'd for 20 years. Mostly up! I too am a healthy fat person. I don't take medications. Lab work is always great but as a nurse I know that it would not last forever! The older I got the more worried I got. I am very glad I took this step. Seems a little blah now during this hard phase. But it will get better
  21. I was actually quite surprised at how quick recovery was. And that I had no issues with reaching my toes. I did need help tying my shoes the 1st couple days. But it was fine after that. I didn't even take any pain medication after I left the hospital.
  22. Wow I don't see my surgeon till 2 weeks post op! Funny to see all the different orders from different surgeons on these forums
  23. Mine rumbled like crazy. Wasn't really a hungry feeling though.
  24. Lol I shaved the night before thinking it would be weeks before I could again. No worries ladies. I was able to shave 3 days post op too! I should have used it as an excuse for longer ????
