  1. Was hoping for 100+ my first year but ran into some TMJ probs, and other things lol.... I feel great I hope everyone is doing well... I had some setbacks for 4 months and was stagnant but Ive lost 21 lbs since March 13th and am back on a roll!!!!!!
  2. I took a bite of a no bake oatmeal cookie shortly after taking a 2 hour nap, took a sip of milk, and of course it backed up a little because I didnt chew too well, and I didnt PB, more like knew not to swallow my spit for a minute, let it go down, and there was a tinge of blood when I pushed a little to get the remaining slime out. No injuries to my mouth.... Was bright-tish, not a lot, dilluted. Anyways Im kind of scared. Im not over tight or anything, I could probably get a .2 in my band. Where the hell did the blood come from? I then of course did a round of spitting/hocking to see if more would come up, but nothing. Earlier today I did eat some sunflower seeds, just seeds, not shell, but perhaps what if I did swallow some shell, could it cut me up 8 hours later? Anyways, if this has happened to anyone can you clue me in it has me a little worried about erosion... or something??? Amanda
  3. Everyone doing well?
  4. lol you can see my port is tilted in that pic. It was shot straight down, the circle in the middle should be centered to the outer circle.
  5. Should I be freaking out????? Does this lead to a flipped port?
  6. Good luck! I hope you are able to keep your band!
  7. Heres a little something to cheer you up, 2 of my 3 little monkeys! Chompin on eachother. So sorry for your loss hang in there. Amanda
  8. The needle is 4-5 inches, because my port is deep. My surgeon numbs me every time- because I ask him to. Its kind of redundant because its just another needle poke and it stings a bit, when he could just hit me with the fill needle once... but it gives me peace of mind lol. I do watch the flouro screen, its cool. It doesnt hurt really more is uncomfortable, doing it without being under the fluro hurts, because they were digging around an dpushing really hard- theyd stick the needle in, and it wouldnt reach the port, so youd think theyd removed the needle and try again? Nope! They just dig around with it in there trying to get it into the port! <3 my fluro fills!
  9. Im 23 and was banded april. Youre not too young! at least youre doign something about it early! Youre smart!
  10. So I went to a Bret Michaels concert last night, something Im not quite sure I would have done if I hadnt lost 30 lbs... and it was a great show! I touched Big Jon ;c)
  11. get more fill in ya youll get there.
  12. congrats! Dang though, August surgery?! Its June 13th! Get in there git er done!!!
  13. CONGRATS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Im so happy for you! :w00t::cool2:
  14. Your DR has been doing lapbands for 30 years???
  15. My surgery was April 2nd. I think diff surgeons and surgery centers have different policies on fills. NWWLS in May booked me 3 apts in a row each week to check on me weight me and adjust/fill as needed. Theyre very attentive.
  16. 23 lbs! Bye bye 3's!
  17. Went okay! I am at 6.5cc in a 10cc band. Heres a pic- you can see my spine and ribs, and the port, and tubing going towards the spine.... and at the bottom you can see the needle going into the port!!!!!! I lost 9 lbs since my last fill on 5-14-08.
  18. So total you haev 1.5 cc? They didnt put any fluid in your band at the time of surgery? I had 3 ccs in mine at surgery.
  19. Hmmm. Id quote their website which says 3 month OR 6 month. 4 people I know who were approved through Aetna did the 3 month including myself, and had no problems. And I didnt even try..... in fact, I GAINED weight during that period, and was approved.:confused2:
  20. I have a panic disorder, I take lorazepam, 3x daily. I havent had any problems, besides the first time I PB'd I thought I was going to die. But I lived ;c)
  21. Granted I've only been banded for 2 months, but I prefer my band tighter. Thats why I had the surgery, I need something to tell me to stop eating. Its forcing me to chew like crazy, which takes time, so I dont just hack it right back up. The little bites, and feeling of fullness right now is whats working for me. But maybe when my weight is lost I will feel a little different and want a more flexible fill amount.
  22. Yeah I live in Everett right outside Mukilteo off the Muk BLVD
  23. ^ They did that to me too, with the scheduling. They made 3 apts 3 weeks out in a row- I cancelled my one for this thurs but am keeping the one on the 29th. I PB'd yesterday on a veggie omlette I didnt chew well enough again.... I think my restriction is pretty close to my sweet spot. I like Audrey shes really nice, but Im glad that Dr Montgomery is doing my fills for the time being because I have a puppy crush on him lolol
