  1. @@jane13 ? What? I'm not sure what your talking about? @@jane13 Are you talking about the abortion post someone made?
  2. You should be fine! Your livers not going to get fat on a cucumber and tomatoes call and ask your surgeon to clarify though if you need to.
  3. Yes, normal. My stomach still does that 8 months post-op just not as bad as in the beginning. Tiny tummies are talkers!
  4. Depends on how bad you want it. I lost 50+ lbs in that first 3-4 months so I'd rather have that than anything else. Besides at 10 weeks post-op I was on Regular foods. You could still eat it probably just wouldn't be much. You may actually enjoy your vacation more when your not focused on food, you'll be amazed at how many other things you can direct your attention to. Good luck! @@hawkeyJeff
  5. It as rough on day 3-5 for me and I was much better and back at school on day 7. Everyone's different though.
  6. Go back to the basics. For me it's not drinking anything 30 mins before or after I eat. Eat protein first, limits your sugar/salt intak. Focus on lean proteins fish, shrimp, chicken, turkey. I try to buy most things fresh and unprocessed to cut out the junk. I've read that doing a 1-2 Week liquid diet can help to shrink the stomach and "reset". I can't speak from experience on that because I haven't had to do it yet. See a nutritionist if you can. TRACK EVERYTHING!!! I am meticulous with tracking every single piece of food that crosses my lips. Stay hydrated. I try to stick with water, green tea unsweetened. I taught myself to drink tea without anything in it. (Which is saying a lot for a southern girl who use to drink sweet tea by the gallons) Write a list out if you need to to remind yourself of why you had the procedure in the first place. Start over! Take measurements, weight ect...don't give up! Stay motivated! Watch motivation videos if you need to. I pray, praying for strength helps me most! @@Onepoundatatime
  7. I take zzzquil every once in awhile and it knocks my butt out!
  8. @@ryany3131 I'm not a October sleever I'm a November 3rd but congrats on your success thus far!
  9. Drink some "smooth move" tea. It's all natural and really works. If you let it steep for 20 mins and drink it before you go to bed you should have some relief by morning. It's the only thing that doesn't cramp my stomach.
  10. Mine was 3 weeks after, I had to be one two week pre-op diet so It couldn't be done by that date plus I took an extra week to Finnish school,.
  11. Mine started at 2 1/2 3 month mark and it's finally pretty much stopped at 8 months. I don't have a ton of hair to start with there's a lot but thin strands. I did everything to try to prevent it from happening 10,000mg biotin, vitamins, coconut conditioning hair treatments blah, blah, blah! Nothing stops it from happening. There are a few lucky ones that don't shed. I had hair extension As you can see in my profile picture (clip ins) but they get old after awhile so I finally just cut it off and I LOVE it! I should have sucked it up and did it earlier! There's nothing grosser feeling that shedding wet hair on your skin during a shower. YUCK! Maybe you will be one of the lucky ones? Either way I'd do it 100x over, the benefits and way I look/feel now are better than any hair! Lucky for me I'm no Samson so I didn't lose any powers chopping it off
  12. Oops missed that! I read too fast!
  13. I've never had any dumping, it's not that common with the sleeve it's more of a gastric bypass issues but can happen to some. The only gas I had was burping a lot in the beginning but not as much now. I breath felt gross during the 2 week Pre-op diet to to by body being in ketosis. Low carb will do that to you. I had a annoying metal taste in my mouth forever! Everything is back to normal now but I'm also 8 months post op. It takes time.
  14. Chinese buffet with multiple trips. I don't even want to know how bad that was.
  15. Not having clothes because I keep shrinking out of them. I live in PJ's and scrubs. that's about it.
  16. @@catfish87 Yes, yes it was the first 4 miles I just got back into the exercise game so I may have over done it but I feel good today so alls well!
  17. @@FireWife See! That's awesome girl! Good luck!!!
  18. Oh and for breakfast I had a Syntrax strawberry mousse protein shake made with almond breeze (half almond milk half Coconut) also 1 egg. For snack I had a kind strong bar (new obsession) in the flavor smoked BBQ and a huge unsweetened ice tea after the killer hike. Of course I was dying of thirst and drank it too fast so it came back up! (I know TMI) the struggle is real! Here's my tally for the day. I know it's not good. I'm going to try to get some more in. At least another protein shake if possible.
  19. Well I just finished a 8 mile hike with my daughter so when I got home I was almost too pooped to eat but we had peel and eat shrimp with garlic and real butter (tiny bit) I could only manage 5. And a side salad with shredded lettuce, shredded cheese and sliced tomatoes! I didn't get a picture to tired for all that. Now, my tracker says I burned 856 calories in that 4 hours, I'm not sure how accurate those things are but I've only managed 546 calories today which leaves me with 1,116 calories to spare and I'm fixing to go to sleep. I have to drive out of town in the am for work Sooooo what do you do about that?! I don't have any appetite after all that physical activity which was only suppose to be 6 miles but we got lost multiple times and had a extra two mile hike just to get there due to road closing. I almost died!
  20. 0 problems for me. I put lemon in water and tea daily.
  21. Well just bring it up at opportune times like , when someone says "hello" you say yeah just lost 50 lbs, or when they ask you how your doing "oh great just lost 50lbs!" Or when they say bye, "yeah just going to lose more of the 50lbs I've lost. I bet they will notice then!!! Ha!!! No for real maybe not with strangers because that may seem a little "weird" for some people but feel completely free to torture your family with it! I do, works for me. Trust me they notice
  22. Usually subsides once you taking in enough protein, fluids, just nutrients in general. It can last awhile. I know , sucks!
  23. Try not taking them on an empty stomach, if I do that it makes me deathly ill.
  24. Better stay away from that coke and rum though buddy!
