It took a full five weeks for me. I'm finishing up week six and I still get more tired than I did before surgery.

I am four weeks post op and I was very weak as well. My weakness went away once I started drinking at least 4 bottles of water a day in addition to any protein drinks. My NUT pointed out that I was dehydrated. My goal for week five is to start getting in five bottles of water per day. It's tough but it will make all the difference. Oh and my bottles of water are 16 oz.

It also takes some time to heal from surgery. Hang in there and drink!

It took me about 8 weeks. But at one time early on I was not getting enough protein. When my nutritionist looked at my journal she spotted the problem. Good luck.
