    Halibut is my favorite
  4. Cross my legs, ride a bike, golf, walk a 5k, buying clothes in the misses section, not having to buy 2 seats when I fly and being able to go places and not being worried about what I can and can't do. A tropical vacation would also be nice!

    Caffeine

I loved coffee prior to surgery..I did switch to decaf before surgery. However, post surgery my taste buds have changed and coffee does not taste the same so I have been able to just leave it. I would never of guessed this outcome. Good luck

What to expect in the hospital

I stayed two nights in hospital. The only thing I used was Chapstick. Hospital had everything else (toothbrush and paste, lotion etc). I left in the same clothes I came in (loose fitting). I did bring my iPad but just used my time resting and healing and walking. Best of Luck on this incredible life saving journey.

    Weighing

For the first six months, I only weighed at my dr appointment. Now I weight every two weeks. I was never disappointed and I refused to give my power to the scale. Follow your plan and the weight will come off. Everyone is different so beware not to compare yourself to others.

    Regret having surgery

Everyone is different. It is your journey. Your normal will be yours. Not mine or anyone here. Follow the plan and you will loss. Stay positive.
  17. I'm 8 months out and my loss was very rapid at first but has slowed down now. My dr is happy with it and tells me it will be slow but steady from here on. Part of the journey. One day at a time. Congrats on your loss up till now. Stay strong
  18. Eating out is a challenge for me but I continue to go out because of the social aspect of it. I have just learned to only eat a little of it and take the rest home. Sometimes we will also share which helps with volume. You will learn how to eat out just like you will learn what works for you. It takes time. I agree with pixie redhead, your taste buds will change and will not want to eat some of the things you loved. Best of Luck

    Question about cats!

I was fine with those tasks...could not lift over 20lbs so depending on the cat liter just be careful. The soreness goes away pretty fast. But it will be nice to have someone with you fir company and support. Best of Luck
