  1. @@starrspunn We do that too! It's getting too cold for me to be outside now but as soon as summer comes back around we will be right back at it.
  2. Do you! There you go! Real helpful I know but I've learned to listen to my body. Nobody lives in this body but me so I take suggestions but ultimately do what's best for me. I figure eventually all these people will fade away and I will be left with me so I may as well figure me out. Does that even make any sense? I swear I haven't been drinking....that's against the rules!!
  3. We did a " What's for breakfast" so while I'm prepping for dinner tonight I figured why not get some ideas from others. I have always loved cooking. I come from a big Italian family on one side and a down home country cooking grandmother on the other so I had no choice but to learn to cook. One of my few fears I had about having the surgery was that I would no longer be able to cook like I'm use to. The first few months after surgery I couldn't due to the recovery and dietary limitations but now that I'm fully healed and am "one" with my sleeve I'm back and better than ever. Cooking is even more fun for me now because I get to experiment and make recipes that are still delicious but have a healthy spin on them. As an example, tonight I have a new turkey marinade I'm trying out. I have included the marinade for those who might want to try it. I switched the vegetable oil out for olive oil, I used Splenda brown sugar apposed to the real and lite soy sauce. We will have roasted beets & Brussel spouts with a Asian side salad. I roast my vegetable with light olive oil and I will make my own Asian dressing. This whole dinner is really simple, it's high in protein and gives you plenty of veggies. It doesn't have to cost a fortune to eat healthy. I may have spent 15 bucks on the whole meal. This will make two meals for my family of 4. So what do you eat for dinner? Any favorite recipes? If you have pictures share! I'm a picture girl! I'm also a fan of recipes that don't require me to leave the country to find. Simplicity is my friend.
  4. @@Alex Brecher Do you have a top 3 favorites? Or how about bar? Favorite bar?
  5. @@starrspunn I saw that but haven't tried it yet.
  6. ^^^^ I assume you were talking to me when I answered that. If not oh well you got it anyway! Ha!!
  7. @@mmincinci Girl! Hard work! I lost all my weight from what I put in my mouth. I (unfortunately) was not one who exercised like I should have. I'm not going to lie about it! My surgeon asked me about exercise and I told him "nope" he said since I've lost so much without it he wasn't going to give me a hard time. Anyway I'm trying to do a little more now. It's the only part of the plan I didn't do well in. Other than that I track everything I eat. I watch my carbs, sodium, sugar intake. I wasn't great at eating a lot I was sitting at 800 calories for months but now I get 800-1200. I eat high protein but from lean meats like chicken, turkey and fish. I eat red meat but sparingly. I don't drink anything but water (flavored) and coffee. That's it. Just diligent about what I eat. If I want something "bad" I work it into my day. If I would have exercised I probably would have lost even more but I just haven't found anything I like to do. An occasional jog with my daughter is about it. My skin bounced back pretty well. Defiantly not perfect but as good as can be expected. I wasn't looking for any miracles I already had 3 c-sections so it is what it is!! I'm happy with all of it!
  8. If you are truly eating 1700 calories a day you're not anorexic.....you may have a tape worm but not anorexic. Hell, I only get in 800-1000 I'm anorexic! Ha! No I'm really not!
  9. @@jaxmom1974 What is that? Is it over the counter or something you get from your dermatologist?
  10. @@dlappjr I've never used whipped coconut oil but I have two jars of the organic coconut oil. I was using it for hair tx and skin. It just didn't do much for my skin. Maybe for an hour then gone. This stuff stays with me all day and then some. I put it on in the AM and before bed. I think I paid $16 for it. Well worth the money!
  11. @@Igastric lol! That's hilarious!! @@Lallylocks "lady garden" ha!!
  12. @@Alex Brecher Yes! Combat bars Alex! This white chocolate is fabulous! I read that they are creeping up on quest as the best.

No! Halloween can still be fun! I'm enjoying it more than I ever have. Tonight we made halloween rice crispy treats and tacos. You have to live still. I had one bite of a rice crispy treat and 1 small taco. I kept the rest of the day simple. You have to work whatever it is you want into your day. Enjoy life! My son tried to stuffed the whole thing in my mouth....I didn't swallow!! Lol
  14. @@JamieLogical Oh good. No I didn't have any issues with the old bars. I tried the birthday cake one and it was too sugary for me. We shall see.
  15. @@glitter eyes I just ate that one for dinner, I didn't feel like tacos. It's ok. Really soft but not a whole lot of flavor. Lightly sweet which I prefer. I don't like the ones that are overly sweet. All in all I'd eat it again. I'm waiting to try the combat. I hear they are taking over and kicking quest out. Ha!
  16. I picked up these 3 to try also......here's hoping I don't explode with gas!
  17. @Babbse I tried the vanilla wafer one! It was good. I went to GNC and paid $2+ for it then went to Walmart and it was $1.48....figures!
  18. I'm a 32 I think. I'm not sure but it worked. My surgeon is a genius! I'm not sure if it makes a difference, most people don't even know to ask and it's a surgeon's call one they get in so they usually don't even bother to tell.
  19. @@stacyg1 I try that but the salt kills me!
  20. @@Sajijoma lol! Th only one I could handle was the apple melon! I thought I'd hate that one because of the melon but it was alright. I like some of the Syntrax ...well peanut butter cookie and strawberry mouse. People like the orange one and I bought a tub of it.....wasted! I didn't like it at all.
  21. @@her1981 That's sounds wonderful!
  22. @@dlappjr Me too! I rather enjoy it. But breakfast is my down fall. I force myself to eat because I know I have to. My sleeve is pretty tight in the morning.
  23. Sweet baby Jesus somebody could have told me how screwed up my post was lol! My brain thinks faster than my little fingers can type.
