  1. @@Quest4TheNewMe I do 2 normally but I drink at least 2 shakes a day to supplement my lack of food and nutrition.
  2. @@WL WARRIOR Yikes! I haven't received mine yet but it's all covered by insurance so it will be interesting to see how much the "new luxury car" costs that is now my new stomach! I did however get a bill from the Anesthesiologist department (also covered) and it was 1445.00.
  3. @@jblgirl Ask your surgeon if you can incorporate another shake in during the day. If your shakes are low carb/cal maybe he/she will allow it? Are you allowed the sugar free jello and Popsicles? That's all the advice I have. I wasn't allowed a meal at night or ever in the two weeks so your a lucky duck to me!
  4. That doesn't even make any sense a diastolic pressure of 83 isn't even "bad". She is obviously a moron, stay away from morons they will make your pressure high @@laurenella82
  5. @@haleytrim I just got the 0.N.E coconut water brand from Walmart. It doesn't have anything added just coconut water. Be careful if you go with other brands to look at the nut info because some add a lot of sugar ect...
  6. @@EllieMae I think they want you to stay on it but I'm not so sure people really do to that for life?
  7. @@smiley922 Nope. Never heard of that.
  8. @@Diamond-Girl No, I've never looked for any milk free types but I bet you could google it!
  9. @@meps413 Your getting stronger????
  10. @@Thenewnic Truthfully I didn't. I was not taking enough nutrients in to feel like I should be out even walking at that point. I was only focused on healing and figuring out my new tummy. I know some people do and are ok with it. I still felt "Weak" plus my family was gone at work, school ect so I didn't feel safe leaving the house alone. A couple weeks of rest and recuperation are totally acceptable. You just had surgery. I know after my c-sections nobody expected me to run a marathon. You have plenty of time for that. If you feel well enough physically and mentally to walk then go for it! I didn't have any of the gas pains or anything to NEED to do walking like that.????
  11. @@Lani789 That's awesome!
  12. @@Thenewnic Nope! Drink your clear protein like they said if you can. I drank the isopure clear protein drinks + the others things broth, ect and I added coconut water To help hydrate.
  13. @@Shell88 Guys are silly! He doesn't sound very supportive but he also just sounds like 100 other guys out there! My husband was/is extremely supportive and helps he tremendously but I can tell at times he's "fake" listening to me just to be nice like I "fake" a crap about all his football teams...it's ok to have different interest but he should at least be respectful about it. I know I probably/DO talk my husband to death about every little detail of this surgery, everything in measurements that I ate for the day, ect.... He's pretty awesome to listen fake or not to it since he's never had a weight issue. Try to find a common ground if you can. Maybe something outside WLS and video games....if only they had a video game about WLS.....
  14. @@Shell88 Sounds delish! Except I only use real butter...they say real butter is so much better for you than Fake...well that's what my NUT says anyway I love seafood!
  15. @@Quest4TheNewMe Have you tried the ready-made premier protein shakes? They are my FAVORITE! Well the chocolate is anyway. I feel like I should be paid some kind of commission because I'm always recommending them but They truly are my fav! If you haven't tried them Maybe you should? They are cheaper if you buy them from SAMS. Just an option. I haven't tried a ton of different kinds, maybe 6-8 but I didn't care for any of them and they usually have less grams of protein..ect
  16. @@SuperDave Lol oh I was cusing! I remember it clear as day! I was telling them "everybody lied!!!" My male recovery nurse was like "who lied" and I said everybody! Everybody said this doesn't hurt! They all f***ing lied! He was laughing which I didn't find amusing in the least. Then he told me ok now don't cuss...if I could I wound have punched him in the throat. Luckily he gave me something that kicked the pain almost instantly so then I could have kissed his face...that recovery room is a dangerous job!
  17. @@HardwareJedi Congrats!
  18. @@kimpossible67 Exciting huh?! That's great!
  19. @@jasminnegrin I take the chewable OsCal with vitamin D in "light chiffon"' Flavor. They aren't lemon meringue pie or anything but they are good Enough and they do the job.
  20. @@nprcowboy Where were you two weeks ago?! Lol good idea!
  21. @@beachgurl84 Oh you will! And this will all become a distant memory
  22. @@ElyQuint What is a "house spouse"? I've never heard that before is it a boyfriend you live with or your actual husband? ....anyway I can see how you might be a little frustrated but remember you made the decision to have WLS for yourself and only yourself. You can expect someone else to change their life just because you did. If you don't want to be with your partner anymore because of the "what ifs" then so be it. Weight is not the only thing people die of and it doesn't mean he will be in a wheelchair or on chemo..(not sure how chemo even has anything to do with it) If the man is happy the way he is then leave him be and if you feel the need to leave than leave but don't try to make him be something he's not.
  23. @@beachgurl84 Oh I hear ya, I was a little "shocked" at just how miserable the first 5-6 days We're but by day 7 it was much better and here I am almost 3 weeks out and it's like it never happened....except for restriction so rest assure it will get MUCH better!
  24. @@laurenella82 I didn't because I wasn't required to, in fact I put on 8lbs during the 3 months . I did lose on my 2 week pre-op diet but that was inevitable. I think it depends on your insurance and what your surgeon request for you to do.
