  1. Congrats! My bag included gas x strips, Chapstick, sleep mask, ear plugs, toiletries, Biotene Mouth spray and lozenges (for dry mouth) softest sleep clothes and slippers ever, extension cord, for my iPad, phone and heating pad, glade plug in for my room (comfort measure) big pillow, soft soothing music from my iPad (I don't watch tv) face wipes, lotion, fuzzy socks...I think that covers it...seems like a lot but I used every bit of it and I was comfortable....I guess I was nesting lol!
  2. I felt that way just smelling cinnamon rolls!
  3. Make sure your spacing your protein drinks out...but not so far your going more than say 4 hrs max between. Eat SF jello and popsicles. Sip on broth! They have a lot of good flavors (Swanson) besides the boring chicken and beef. It's not the funniest time of your life but remember the reason for it!
  4. Are you feeling lightheaded because of a pre-op diet?
  5. Remember this so once the weight starts coming off you can see how far you've come! Hell you should take a picture And that can be your incentive to help you through the pre-op diet (assuming you have one).
  6. Yes it gets better! I say day 5 to 7!
  7. Well this isn't FAIR!! I didn't get to eat huge portions like that EVER and I still got fat!! Wth?! I don't even drink soda! Dang my moms, moms, grandmas moms , genes!
  8. Premier protein is the only one I like. I drank it for two weeks pre-surgery and I'm 5 weeks out still loving them...but only chocolate!
  9. Lol! I guess it's all in how you take it, I would take it as a complement IF I knew it wasn't said in a malicious way. Maybe it would be different in my case because my co-workers Are friends. If they aren't your friends then tell them to suck it! In the nicest way possible : )
  10. Yes! Everyday! I usually have egg whites, turkey sausage and 1/4 of an avacado! I love them and they are a "superfood"!
  11. That's great!
  12. I hope your not looking at food because if you are your just Going to make yourself crazy! My surgeon said from the beginning "you better find a new hobby because you are about to realize how much of your life revolved around food!" Boy was he right! So find yourself a new hobby to distract yourself....and not a cooking hobby lol!
  13. Fantastic work! Like a new lady!
  14. How great it would be to finally not feel hungry and to not have a life completely consumed with food!
  15. There's no way for any of us to know if your damaging your sleeve. I don't know why you would want to go against your Drs orders BUT I guess maybe you will find out at you Appointment. Just be honest with your DR and tell him/Her what your doing. Maybe they will say it's ok if you are handling it? Who knows. Good luck with that! Oh and PS just because it doesn't "hurt" doesn't mean your not hurting yourself. They have certain restrictions for a reason, not everything is felt. : )
  16. I was at SAMS last night with my husband and the bakery "cinnamon roll" smell made me want to vomit! Some food just disgust me to look at, like the carb loaded sugary fattening stuff! That may just me my new brain talking but that smell ewww!
  17. I say stick with your pre-op diet! I know it's hard I was on the same one for two full weeks. It is to shrink your liver AND some surgeons also want to see how compliant you will be. Surgery is pretty serious but if you are thinking you don't want to do because of the pre-op diet maybe you should rethink your decision, Make sure your spacing your sakes out throughout the day and drinking lots of fluids. Eat some Sf Popsicles or jello. Try not to focus on food so much. Good luck!
  18. Hi, I had the sleeve done 11/3 if you have any particular questions feel free to ask.
  19. You probably need a prescription anti-acid, I would ask your DR for one!
