  1. Wait you said you have a peer to peer this Friday so you still have a chance right? You said your surgeon says this is normal to be denied the first time so there's still hope then right? It's only the 3rd of December so as of today you still have a full 4 weeks before the first....Am I missing something here? Are you pre-stressing if so stop that!
  2. You will probably start losing better once you start eating real food. My number once recommendation (and I know you probably don't want to hear this) BUT....stay off that God forsaken scale!! Especially if it's making you feel bad! I don't weigh very often maybe once a week IF I even feel like it...I can tell in my clothes alone...are your clothes getting looser? Don't be a slave to a scale!
  3. That's a hard one...I would find another surgeon too if this is really something you want to do. You could go ahead and try to lose some weight In the 7 months but just remember if your planning on using insurance to cover surgery and you lose to much they will more than likely Deny you if you fall anywhere short of the BMI they want you to have. Even if it's only by a few lbs!
  4. I wouldn't call that "normal" but it sounds pretty easy. It sounds like they need to slow down and clue you in a little better with the details! Sometimes you have to make them. I know I wrote down on a piece of paper all my questions and took them in with me so when I talked with my DR I literally had a pen and checked each question off. So in a way I made him slow down to get all my answers....it's kinda their job!
  5. Aww that stinks! No I didn't have any issues, business as usual but you may want to inform your DR. If your losing a lot of blood you may need so extra iron..ect I hope you get to feeling better soon!
  6. Yay! Congrats!
  7. Of course you are! Congrats! Godspeed!
  8. Congrats! See that's why I had a nice dose of sleeping med the night before lol! Good luck tomorrow! Sweet (sugar-free) dreams! ; )-
  9. My surgeon gave me a prescription for acid from day one so I don't know about that. I know I when I forgot one day last week I could feel the acid start so I took it and haven't missed since. You should ask your surgeon.
  10. Are you taking your vitamins? Did your Dr give you a vitamin b-12 shot to help with energy?
  11. @@cryssyd3 Congrats girl! I was wondering what happened to you! Sneaky! ; )-
  12. Beautiful work!
  13. Yep I agree with @@Chele H Atkins is good and drink lots of water...lots!
  14. 34 lb gone beats the heck out of 34lbs gained! So I say success!
  15. That's fabulous! You should be so proud!
  16. @@sarahkaj Well now that's not very positive! It sounds like your giving up and that's not allowed! ; ) Are you tracking your food? Drinking enough water? Exercising? Eating Protein and waiting the 30 mins before and after? Most of all have you discussed this with your surgery team? If so what did they say? Are your clothes getting lose? Are you working out and putting on muscle weight? Don't give up, reevaluate what your doing...on a honest level! Maybe there's something you can change?
  17. Protein, water and vitamins are your best friend. I'm just assuming your on liquids?? Maybe? You didn't say what food stage your on.
  18. Well congratulations! Your early Christmas present.
  19. I'm a little further out than you and on "regular" foods but I get around 700 calories max right now. Almost Half of which comes from my 2 protein drinks a day. For breakfast I had 1 egg and 1/4 cup of crumbled turkey sausage.I'm big on lean meats and fancy cheeses right now...I had 2 oz of low sodium turkey and 1 1/2 oz of a variety of cheeses for lunch. That's all I can eat at once. Dinner will probably be a lean meat and a boiled egg (mainly the white) Then my second protein drink later on.....well anyway there's an idea of a day of eating food with shakes. All that adds up to the 700 (usually less) calories and maybe 11 carbs. Just an example, you will be there soon. I wouldn't try to live on just yogurt and shakes though...you will need to start learning the right foods to eat. Good luck!
  20. Sounds like your making good progress!
  21. I eat nuts!!..yep there's no other way of saying that, that doesn't sound dirty... I Eat the ones in the P3 protein packs anyways.
  22. @@heynowkc Lol I was gonna say wow you really want to get in that pool!!!! I would say probably at least a couple weeks, you want all your incisions to be completely healed shut!
