Threw up Vitamin
Yep! Try to get something in your stomach before you take vitamins. Mine use to make me deathly ill if I took them on an empty stomach (Pre-surgery)

Terrified of Vitamins
Wellness brand makes a liquid calcium supplement if you need liquid until you can handle more.

having trouble with crushed meds and chewable calcium postop!
They have calcium in liquid form if you need to use a liquid instead. Hopefully your taking your calcium separate from your multivitamin, calcium may not absorb as well if taken with zinc, iron , or magnesium.

Single moms post op....
I'm not a single mom but I know my 13 yr old daughter was a tremendous help, if I had to I probably would have been just fine with her help. I guess it depends on The maturity of the child. If you do feel like it would be better to have an adult around I would say 2-3 days tops BUT that all depends on how your surgery goes....which will be wonderful I'm sure : )

Difficulty Eating/Drinking Enough (4d post op)
@@HawaiianTexan My stomach made all those crazy "demon" sounds in the beginning too...I'm a month out and it's rarely does that anymore, it never hurt though. To answer your question NO you cannot drink like a regular person unless you want to hurt or puke! You just have to go through the process like everyone else...slow and easy does it! It will get better Though. I can almost drink like a "regular" person now just give it time! : )-

On liquids- Still hungry!
Once you start eating food with more consistency you will start to feel "full". Make sure your drinking your protein shakes, creamed soups ect..if your still hungry you can try to make some protein popsicles. Don't drink with your creamed, thicker liquids that seems too help with the full feeling. Hang in there you should get the full feeling soon.

Coffee after Sleeve - 8 days pre op too soon?
@@Sleeve101 Well like everyone says its full of sugar and you don't want that. Stevia makes pumpkin spice Drops if you can find them you could make your own version of a spice latte or you could just add them to a vanilla protein shake!

@@kelseycakes20 I think most surgeons don't mind you having Decaf coffee but I hear Nectar Protein has a fabulous cappuccino flavored protein powder mix so if you just love coffee you may want to check it out PLUS you will Be getting protein, win win!

4 post op Vsg and need help!
@@Beanz Most people can't get 48oz in right off the bat. Just keep your water with you at all times And sip even if you don't feel like it do it anyways! Put some flavoring in your water if it helps. I'm almost a month out and water is still harder for me to drink than say protein shakes, I don't know Why it just is. Do you like coconut water? If you do ask your surgeon if it's allowed....plain coconut WATER they sale it at Walmart. Coconut water is a super hydrator. I didn't have the gas but I used the extra strength gas strips, they dissolve on your tongue. I used them "just in case". drink! Set a timer if you need a reminder almost every phone has one! Good luck, keep your head up and keep at it, it will get easier as the days goes by! Oh and there's no crying in VSG land now cut that out! : )-

GAINING weight first week post-op? What's happening?
Follow your plan and what your team has instructed you to do. What you should do right now is just focus on recovering. You just had surgery and your body has gone through a lot of trauma. Everything will even out. Don't stress, stay off the scale, drink your fluids, protein ect... You will be just fine!
