On liquids- Still hungry!

Hello,

So my surgery was 9 days ago and it went really well. I'm on the full liquid diet until dec. 8. Problem. I'm hungry all the time! My stomach is telling me to eat. I feel like I never even had the surgery lol. Is this normal? Any way to help it?

Once you start eating food with more consistency you will start to feel "full". Make sure your drinking your protein shakes, creamed soups ect..if your still hungry you can try to make some protein popsicles. Don't drink with your creamed, thicker liquids that seems too help with the full feeling. Hang in there you should get the full feeling soon.

Are you taking an acid reducer? It helps with the hunge, which sometimes is actually excess acid.

It's been 11 days for me since my surgery. Feeling hungry too and wondered if I really was sleeved. I'm drinking all my protein shakes, but the sugar free jello helps. I Looked here and seems like the fullness will come later on as we progress to soft foods. Hang in there!

The thing that stuck with me the best in the full liquid stage was cream of wheat. It may be worth a try. Hang in there, it gets better!
