  1. I loved my coffee! So I asked my nut why no coffee? She told me that caffeine inhibits the absorption of vitamins. Which would affect us sleevers since we have to take all our vitamins daily. Not sure if it's true but that is what I was told.
  2. I had my surgery 1 week before Thanksgiving. Surgery went well. I have two small children (2&5) and the same thoughts were racing through my head however I just kept thinking how much more I would be able to do with them after my surgery. My husband really helped out a lot and did a great job with the kids. He did more then I thought he could, but then again when they have to fend for themselves and have no other choice you'll be surprised how much they can do. The nurses at my doctor told me "it's all about you now " so I tried to keep that with me and also asked for a lot of prayers. I am sure you'll be fine and congrats on getting a surgery date!
  3. I am in the same stage. Eating 2oz of egg whites, canned chicken, Greek yogurt, canned green beans, canned pears. All puréed. However, I feel like the food is getting stuck half way down. Is that normal? Maybe I'm eating too fast? Have an appointment with Dr tomorrow.
  4. It's been 11 days for me since my surgery. Feeling hungry too and wondered if I really was sleeved. I'm drinking all my protein shakes, but the sugar free jello helps. I Looked here and seems like the fullness will come later on as we progress to soft foods. Hang in there!
