Surgery 4/8/15 & scared it won't work
@@lfry925 I think most of us go through that. I was always hungry..like always. I would eat a full dinner and eat again a hour later. I was like you In the fact that I couldn't imagine such small amounts of food. Well I had surgery 11/3 and I literally eat 4-5 bits Of food and I'm done. It's weird at first but you get use to it. I actually enjoy not being able to stuff myself. I like having the full sensation and having it for hours at a time.

Yes you can be in starvation mode, it will get easier to eat your still in the baby Stages. Try not to think about it so much. Take it day by day and it will all get easier.

The best HEALTHY Dessert gadget I think you'll LOVE!
Hello everyone! I've been meaning to share this for awhile but with the cold weather I've not been using it as much. My favorite kitchen gadget since VSG surgery for a "dessert" has to be the "Dessert Bullet" ! I purchased this before my surgery off of a recommendation from a veteran VSGer. If you've never seen or used one all you do is add fresh frozen fruit in the top and it comes out a ice cream consistency! You don't need any other ingredients. It's amazing! My kids LOVE it. My daughter likes to freeze yogurt and adds it into the mix. You can do all kinds of variations. The best part is you know exactly what's going in and coming out so its easy to track. Of course you will have to be at the stage where you are allowed fruit and fruit still has natural sugars so you shouldn't go wild We always use the No sugar added frozen fruit and bananas make it even more creamy. We like to use the over ripe banana (cut them up and freeze them). Anyway I just thought I would share a product I love and am grateful I found especially with summer just around the corner!!! PS: The picture is just the frozen dole fruit I didn't add any banana so its more of a sherbet texture. Play around with it and have fun! I bought mine at Walmart and I think I paid around 40 bucks for it? I'm sure you can find it on amazon ect..

Summer Treats
The best little gadget I've invested in is the dessert Bullet. It's the coolest thing ever! You just put fresh frozen fruit in it and it comes out ice cream consistency. You don't have to add anything else to it if you Don't want to. My daughter likes to freeze yogurt cubes in the ice tray and adds it to the fruit (and of course chocolate chips ect..) I don't add anything And it's perfect!!! Highly recommended:)

Liquid in, liquid out : (
No!! Miralax will just make it worse! Do NOT take that unless you would like to spend the next two days strapped to your toilet. Miralax helps you have a BM. It's common in the beginning to have loose stools especially if your taking any narcotics. Call your DR and see what they suggest. You will probably just have to let it run its course. If anything you should ask if you can use some Imodium AD. Stay extra Concentrated on the fluids!

Tracking

Feeling Frustrated!
It's pretty common to fluctuate in weight as aggravating as it is. I don't know what your eating but I know when I was doing a low carb diet before surgery it seemed to be high in sodium which will cause fluid retention. Also low carb diets have a tendency to cause constipation maybe thats a issue? I know TMI but if it is try drinking some "smooth move" tea to keep everything moving along. Keep tracking everything and make sure you really read those lables. There's so much hidden sugar in everything. Try to cook your own food fresh so you can season and know what's actually in the food. If your already doing all this than just you never mind me:) good luck!@@Scarlett72
