  1. It's hard on your stomach and can cause you to be gass-a@@!which you don't want!
  2. It happens to LOTS of people! You just lost a bunch of pounds give your body a chance to catch up. You probably won't lose large amounts continuously Nor would you really want to it's hard on your body and you'll have a greater amount of lose skin. It's going to take awhile to get it all off don't discredit the surgery already you just started. Get use to the stalls they happen and it's completely normal if it's going to make you crazy stay off the scale and only weigh biweekly or something. Take body measurement. You will likely be losing inches when the scale isn't moving. It's ok you will lose more
  3. I think it's really hit or miss some surgeons say no some say yes. I use one periodically and have had no issues. @@staceymeaux
  4. If you haven't tried the premier protein shakes (ready-made) you might want to give them a try. Chocolate is the only one I can recommend because it's my favorite! Pre-op and today!
  5. @@gmacy Have them call it in again. I just had mine called in and I'm 4 1/2 months out. I'm not taking any chances.
  6. That stinks! I go through phases of that and it seems like it's worse the weeks I drop a lot of weight. Are you taking your b-12 and other vitamins?
  7. Hello@@monicainfl and welcome!
  8. I actually followed it to the T. I never cheated not even once but I took drastic measures like eating (well drinking) my meals in my room away from the family. I Never went to long without a shake and some nights I was wide awake and new I'd be tempted to eat so I took a little zzzquil a couple nights to get to sleep. In the end I made it and was proud of myself so it was worth it Just to have the satisfaction of kicking foods derrière! I was only allowed 3-4 shakes a day,sf jello and popsicles (which I never ate the popsicles) and broth. Wow I'm surprised you were allowed candy!!
  9. This makes me miss corn-beef and cabbage! I use to LOVE that stuff but I always had to have cornbread with it it's probably to salty now and fattening...maybe just the cabbage and turkey?
  10. No but I would have had I not been prescribed a PPI did you get a prescription for one? If not you may want to ask. That acid is not good on your new stomach.@@OldMomOf3
  11. Yay! Congrats! It will get easier all the time
  12. Yes they are normal! It's like getting married only you don't have the option for divorce...it's actually permanent! Ha!!
  13. Just take it day by day! I can't really tell you what to expect since everyone is different but just know there is an end to some of the know so fun parts, liquid diet, Recovery.......
  14. @@BloomingLotus Lol! You're welcome! It's ingrained in my brain. I've been tested waaaaaay to much over it to forget!
  15. I found some of that stuff at our dollar tree
  16. I don't even know what's considered a "slow" loser? Who knows the guidelines for that?? I think sometimes we put too much pressure on ourselves. If your working your programs like you should and your losing weight that's all that should really matter. In order to be "slow" you would have to be comparing yourself to someone else's weight loss. Don't do that.
  17. It's probably not going to be as bad as your imagining. Pain is a short side effect of a beautiful journey!
  18. There is no way I could possibly even begin to explain how important protein is in your body. Protein is used In every cell in your body. You need protein for protein synthesis and DNA replication. The body's primary building block for muscle, bone, skin, hair, and many other tissues is protein. There are over 10,000 different proteins that are found and needed in the body for maintaining life. After water has been excluded 75 percent of your body weight consists of protein. Crazy huh?! Proteins play many important roles in the body including the structure of enzymes; these are important proteins that help reactions occur in the body, such as releasing from the food we eat. Proteins also function as transport proteins such as hemoglobin; an iron containing protein that transports oxygen to exercising muscles via the bloodstream. Protein consist of amino acids. Amino acids are extremely important . There are twenty different amino acids of which eight are considered essential because they cannot be generated by the body but are necessary for survival. The body uses amino acids circulating in the blood stream, released from the breakdown of tissues, or consumed in the diet to make protein. It's incredible just how important protein is in our bodies not just for building muscle. Eat/ drink your protein whatever just get some I've been studying protien in college for years. Every one of my mastering courses that involves the human body has a section on the importance of protien. Ok, that's enough class for today!!! Class dismissed!
