- Anyone not enjoy thier 'food funeral'
I kinda did that but it is pointless because if you really wanted to you could probably eat those things some time after surgery just not as much. It's not worth it.- 6 days post op
Your probably not going to get in the recommended amount of fluid that early out. It's a work in progress you have to keep at it. You should be getting your drain out soon. I know they stink. I had one too. Mine stopped work so I pulled it. Once you get it out you will feel better. As far as the food, well you just have to deal with that because you can't eat like that, if you did you would be in some serious pain....and trouble.- Level of Help Post-Op
When I got home from the hospital on day 3 my husband and kids all went to work/school so I was on my own for the day. I did fine. Just keep everything close.- Anyone else have a diva sleeve?
If anyone else makes their own jerky and has a low sugar recipe send it my way!- Anyone else have a diva sleeve?
@@VSGmary it sounds like your doing good. Have you found a good beef jerky that doesn't have a lot of sugar in it? I've started to make my own now because I couldn't fine one. It's fun to experiment with so I'm enjoying it. My sleeve likes it- Anyone else have a diva sleeve?
@@Grateful_Love thank you! Exactly, while I feel good and my labs are good I'm just going to listen to my body and not put too much importance on the calorie number. I don't want to push my stomach and be uncomfortable when I feel good.- Anyone else have a diva sleeve?
@@jenbaby75 I don't graze but if I'm eating 6-8 times a day like he suggested it would be like grazing.- Anyone else have a diva sleeve?
@@liannatx I agree it's all so diffrent that's why I just go with how my body feels. So far it seems to be working ok- Please Help! Throwing up blood? Just hours post op
You're welcome. Hope you start feeling better. I know it can be pretty rough the first week but it will get better. Keep us updated on your progress!- Please Help! Throwing up blood? Just hours post op
Ok then that's older blood. It's pretty normal right after surgery. When they cut your stomach it bleeds and some of the old blood is trapped inside the stomach so when you throw up of course it comes out. You Should let them know just to be safe. Now, if you start throwing up bright red blood then you defiantly need to get help, that would be new blood and that's not good.- Please Help! Throwing up blood? Just hours post op
Some times right after surgery people can throw up blood that's in the stomach from the actual surgery. Is the blood bright red?or does it seem like older blood? @@vsgSarah3- Anyone else have a diva sleeve?
@@bikrchk I'm going to try to fit in a few snacks. They say not to snack. It's confusing at times. I do track everything I eat. I've heard other people who didn't have hunger and it came back...who knows? I made some beef jerky last night so I've been eating on it a little. I couldn't find a good jerky that wasn't full of sugar so I made my own. It's good!- Anyone else have a diva sleeve?

All insurance is different I have BCBS and it took about 5-7 days- 4 days post op-should I be doing more?
I was recovering. Take it easy!- Totally frustrated and don't know what to do
What a yucky situation! It's hard if you don't have a job and insurance to be able to have the surgery. The surgery isn't cheap so if your husband says no then does that mean you can't do it? I'm sorry he's being a jerk! I don't work at this time (back in college) but luckily me husband supports me and any decisions I make. I guess you have a couple options you can A) come clean and ask him for the support and money (doesn't seem likely) He can come home and find out you have a job and don't need his A** for anything , that may shut him up? There's power in being independent. You won't need permission for anything. I don't know that's just hard if you don't have the means to support yourself. So is he saying and acting this way because he figures if you don't have a job then you have plenty of time to work on getting healthy? That's what I'm getting from his comments.- Anyone else have a diva sleeve?
@@CanyonBaby No I feel great! I'm happy! My brain is functioning well because I'm still making the grades! My labs were spot on! I fell good over all, everything is functioning that's why I'm wondering how. I usually eat a quest bar for breakfast, go to school (college) for a few hours, drink water. I get home and have a shake. Hang out with the family...eat a small dinner (usually 1/2 cup) Study and somewhere in the night I have another quest bar or shake. I do take all my vitamins religiously and I do drink a ton of water food just doesn't interest me so much. I have energy. I'm sure my hunger will kick in somewhere down the road. I had my surgery here with a award winning bariatric and trauma surgeon So I don't think he's the problem. he doesn't seem worried about it even at this last appointment I told him I haven't changed anything as far as eating more or even wanting to and he wasn't freaking out. Our bodies can do some pretty amazing things so I'm not worried about it. If I start to have any issues or symptoms I will defiantly check it out. So no worries for me! I feel the best I ever have!- Question about medications after gastric sleeve procedure
Your medications should absorb just fine since you had the sleeve you didn't alter your small intestine in any way. Go ahead and ask your Surgeon since I don't know your exact meds. - Anyone not enjoy thier 'food funeral'
