3 days in...

Hi everyone, i had my surgery on the 17th March and i have not been taking pain relief for 24 hours as i haven't needed it... so far i have lost 16 pounds over the last week.. shilst i dont feel hungry anymore and i am off work for 3 weeks does anyone have any advice on coping with the boredom or any exercises i can do or even how to encourage the weightloss. i have 10 stone more to lose and i just want to ensure i am doing everything i can to help myself.

thanks do you have any tips on getting up and about i am still tender in a certain spots.. my family have been supportive but are trying to make me eat more then i think i am ready to and im not surr how to make then understand

If u drink more than you should, you will most likely throw up. Which is not fun. If theybsee it occur, they will understand more Im sure. Like the others, due to just having had surgery, walking is all that is recommended at this stage. Your body needs rest to recover. And as you will not be consuming many calories you will tire easily. Take care of yourself. Worry about the others later. ????

thanks for that Sally. all i am having is soups and water at the moment is there anything else i can have at this stage? ? I am frightened of pushing my luck

I was walking week 1. Week 2 I could do very light exercise. Week 3 I returned to Water aerobics.

I was working on drinking 60gms(minimum) of and 64 ounces of fluids. It probably took 2 weeks to work up to those levels.

I was given a list of what I could have. I was on a full liquid diet of Protein drinks, teas, soups and yogurts for the 1st 2 weeks, then pureed food for 2 weeks then soft foods for 2 weeks. Ask your program what you should be eating/drinking.
