Help! Incision is opening surgeon useless
@@CE24 Ok, I see. I would do what your PCP says. Of course keep an eye on it but give it some time to Close up. If it's not hot to the touch or has any signs of infection it will probably just Heal up. The belly button is usually a warm and moist place (especially if you have any extra skin on the belly) it's harder for the skin to heal in places Like that. I'm sure they probably told you not to soak in any water ect...just keep it clean and don't touch on it too much. Hopefully it will be closed up before you know it!

Help! Incision is opening surgeon useless
I don't think it's dramatic enough to need a wound specialist yet. Maybe it's just the picture doesn't seem too bad. If you are diabetic Then maybe. You can always go to your local drug store and get some steri strips to put on it to help keep it closed up a bit. Just keep it clean and keep your eye on it. Your healing from the inside out so it could look rough for a minute. Do they want you to keep it uncovered so it can heal? @@CE24

My Turn!
That's right! No matter what the recovery phase is it won't come close to comparing with how fantastic the results can be! Trust me I'm one of the people who had it a little more rough after surgery but 4 months later it never crosses my mind, I would do it 10x over if I had to!@@Nikkidoodlebug

Help!
Nobody should bash you! I'm not an expert but I've heard people do a "pre-op" type liquid diet for a week- and it can help. Have you always been hungry after surgery or is this new? @@britt1511
